Chapter 9: Joining the Wolf's Guild

John's POV

November 23, 2034

As I was walking in the street to buy food before I gonna meet up with my 'old friends" while I was walking I saw a white van coming in front of me after a few minutes the vehicle stopped and parked near the grocery shop but there is no single person leave the vehicle. weird, but I continue to walk I looked at my cell phone and text somebody. after that, a man with a bag came to me and said: "Are you looking for something?" I looked at him and replied, "Why do you ask?" but, a man looked at the van and suddenly grab me and toss inside the van, I was trying to get up then someone knocked me out and fell down to the floor while my I was going to unconsciousness there was a conversation between two strangers.

"Bryan, we got the package we're going to the safe house." a man said and a voice came out from the phone "Good job, Will you know what to do. We need him alive" a man named Will looked at my unconscious state and replied "Roger, notify our friends that we're on our way." then, the world becomes dark.

*After 23 minutes*

I opened my eyes and saw a dark room, I was going to get up but there's something on my body. I don't know what's happening but there is a rope tied around my body and handcuffs on my arms then I looked around to destroy these handcuffs also the ropes but the door opened and revealed one of their 'leader'.

We exchange names. In the meantime, I know that he was playing around so be it, I play along. " John, how unfortunate that you captured so easily" a man named Will who wore casual clothes with a cap on is head and saw his cell phone he texted someone. "Do you realize that I could break these damn things off as easy as your neck". I said in threat manner to see if he can release me or not. As Will walked closer to me and whispered " John, We need your help. There's a traitor in our midst who wants to kill you and we found him before we brought you here". I was listening to his reasons because I too know this as well, While we are talking a sudden man opens the door and said: " Will, you have to see this". Will turns around and walked out, leaving me but, he didn't notice that I already untie the ropes because I have a hidden pouch on my sleeves and trying to get out of the handcuffs. But, all of a sudden crack came from downstairs I was curious and decided to check it out. When the weird sound getting closer and closer and he saw an 'unknown creature' chained by Will and his friends try to restrain the unknown creature, but the creature was too strong to pin him down. They try to calm him down but, the creature breaks loose and roared around the area. Will and his friends stunned at the amount of strength that the creature has, they have no choice but to kill it. they cannot get any information for where or when they came from, I immediately ran and grab a knife from Will. then dashed forward to the unknown creature.

"SLASH!!!!!"

The blood sprayed around the room, the people have widened their eyes for what magnificent swordsmanship that I displayed expect for Will and the unknown man beside him that looks familiar to me. A man who wore a white polo, black long hair, a brown briefcase, leather shoes, with his glasses. As he walked right to me while fixing his attire and said " John McCain Kennedy, Age: 29, Zodiac Sign: Virgo, Date: September 14, 2021, Specialist: Swordsmanship, & Gunman Expertise, Stealth Expertise, Interrogation Expertise, and Analysis Expertise. he bore a title the "Épéiste noir" (Dark Swordsman).

The people were shocked at the title which I bore. When he took one step and said: "John, We the Wolf's Guild welcomed you". I was shocked at the declaration, My friends kneeled around me especially the man in front. All of a sudden the atmosphere change because I sense a dark presence on the window behind the man who spoke to me earlier, I immediately took the gun from one of my friends and aim directly to the man in front. But, my aim was focusing on the window behind. After that, an unknown creature suddenly jumps on the window then I pull the trigger at the right time when the creature shows up. My friends noticed that and readied their blades, yet, they will never make it in time.

BANG!!!!!
