“Let me heal you,” Jacques whispered as he took Aeliana by the hands, stroking her back gently, as warm embers began to arise between them. She began to yelp quietly, to suppress another groan, as Jacques stroked her hair and thrust in and out of her. Crying out loudly, Jacques moaned, “My eternal sweet lullaby. You are the poetry of my dreams, the heavenly nocturne of this aching, feral madness I have hidden from within my soul. You are my best kept secret, the angel of my worst nightmares that finally came to greet me in this cold, dismal, waking reality.”
Awaiting Aeliana’s response, she at last came alongside him to sing softly in his ears, a hymn that she had composed to unearth him a little, to resuscitate him from the deadness of his sleep.
