Ankoku fell back to the floor, holding his bloody nose. "What the fuck!" He shouted, looking up to see a swat team rushing into his apartment. "Fuck---" Before he could finish his sentence, one of the officers hit him in the head with the butt of his M4 carbine, sending him back to the ground.
The officer flipped him to his stomach, putting his knee across Ankoku's shoulder, and employed his body weight to maintain control over Ankoku's movement. "I got him!" Officer 1 shouted.
"Good. Good." Another officer replied. The other officer rushed in their guard and their guns forward for any surprise attack. "Be careful. Someone with a powerful quirk lived here."
"Let me go!" Ankoku struggled, trying to get free. "Let go of me, you fucker!!!"
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney." Officer 1 gave Miranda Warning, holding him tighter.
"Get off me!" Ankoku screamed, peeking up to see the police officers moving to the curtain. "Don't open that! You will be cursed to-argh!"
Officer 1, holding him in submission, twisted his arm to silence him, glaring coldly at him. "Keep quiet."
Just then, an officer pulled open the curtain, and a chill swept through the room, silencing everyone and stopping all movement. The bloody and gory sight behind that had been hidden caused some officers to shudder, and one even leaned over to vomit.
"Who are you?" A child in an electric chair asked, their meek and childlike voice piercing through the silence.
"Kuragari! Do something!" Ankoku shouted, his voice snapping the officers back to reality. "Kill this fuckers---"
"You are heading to jail!" The officer on top of him shouted, silencing him once more.
"Hello, young child." Another officer said, walking into the bloody area of the apartment. "We will take you to somewhere safe."
"Is daddy alright?" Kuragari asked, turning to its father with curious eyes.
The officer thought for a second before replying, "Yes---"
"They are lying. I am not fine!" Ankoku shouted, ignoring the pain the officer on top of him was inflecting on his left arm to keep him from retaliating. "They are trying to take me away from you. They are planning on making you feel pain!"
"Don't worry." The officer smiled, tapping Kuragari's shoulder, who was staring at the screaming Kuragari. "...We are taking you to..." He paused, "Lady Night..."
At that moment, Ankoku froze. "That slimy bitch!" He roared, struggling to get up. "That fucking hore sold me out! I will fucking kill her!!"
Kuragari kept staring at Ankoku, not saying a word. "You will be safe. No one will hurt you."
Ankoku roared, lifted his head up, and slammed his forehead hard on the ground, splitting it open. This shocked the police officer, but Ankoku looked up with a grin.
"See what they did to daddy. They made me feel pain---" Before he could finish his sentence, an officer kicked him across his face. "You monster." The officer growled, looking down at him with disgust.
But all Ankoku did was grin with his bloody mouth. "Hahaha. Monster!? No. I am a demon!" He finished that word, receiving another kick that sent a tooth flying off his mouth.
"Daddy!" Kuragari shouted, rushing off the electric chair and running to Ankoku, but an officer held them. "Let me go!"
The police officer forced Ankoku up to his feet, putting handcuffs on him. "Look at me, Kuragari! They are hurting me!" Ankoku shouted with a crazed grin, staring at Kuragari, struggling to leave the officer holding it.
"Keep your mouth shut!" The officer shouted, pushing him to the door.
"They will take us away forever!" Ankoku shouted, laughing. He knew he couldn't be saved, so he wanted to imprint himself so deeply in Kuragari's mind that no amount of therapy could heal.
"Shut him up!" The police officer holding Kuragari shouted, catching up to what Ankoku was doing. "Knock him out if you have to."
"Kahahaha. Without me, you will feel pain every day." Ankoku shouted, laughing as he was pushed out of the apartment. "No one can reset you except daddy."
"Let me go!" Kuragari's scream turned into an eerie screech, like the scream from hell, which threw back the officer and made him let go of Kuragari. The scream paralyzed everyone in the area as black, smoke-like aurae seeped out of Kuragari's body.
These aurae quickly merged, forming a black humanoid that stood over 2 meters tall, kneeling over the crying Kuragari. It had a rounded, dome-like head and a thin body made of bandages, with extremely sharp, four bird-like claws, as well as a wide mouth full of sharp teeth. The black, humanoid phantom opened and let out a shriek that sounded like amplified nails on a chalkboard.
Some officers let go of their guns, clenching their ears close, drowning out the ear-piercing scream. The phantom rushed towards the nearest officer, slapping his face. Its claw tore through the military helmet, ripping the man's face to shreds like a slab of meat through a meat slicer. His eyeballs, brain matter, and pieces of his skull fly everywhere, snapping the other officers back to reality.
"Shoot it. Don't harm the child!" The officer that was holding Kuragari shouted, aiming at the phantom and shooting at it.
Suddenly, the phantom jumped out of the way, landing on the ceiling like a spider. Then, it leaped at another officer, using its claws to rip his head to shreds.
"Quirk activated. Officer's down." An officer said into his radio, "Need backup. Call some her---" Before he could finish his report, he was ripped apart by the black phantom, splattering his head on the wall behind him.
*Ratata* An officer fired a three-round burst from his M4 carbine, but the phantom moved fast enough only to be hit by one of the bullets as the two others flew by to hit another officer.
The officer, who was shot but not harmed due to his Level IIIA body armor, grunted. He aimed at the phantom who had just sliced off another of his fellow officers, firing at it. "Shit. Look where you are shooting!"
"Get out of the room! Backup is on their way." The officer who was once holding Kuragari shouted, shooting his automatic M4 carbine at the phantom that constantly jumped from wall to wall, dodging his shot and trying to make him mistakenly hit his fellow officers, but this didn't work. His experience with fighting against speed-type quirks in these types of situations helped him. "I will take the kid."
He ran to Kuragari, grabbing him by the arm. "Let me go!" Kuragari shouted, trying to struggle but the officer wasn't letting go. "Stay still." He shouted, noticing the black phantom had turned its attention to him. 'Shit.'
He quickly let go of Kuragari, jumping back to avoid being sliced into pieces, but he noticed something. The black phantom seemed to be fading away. It was weakening.
"Keep shooting at it!" He commanded the remaining officers who hadn't left the room when he told them to, aiming and shooting the phantom while making sure not to hit Kuragari.
The black phantom made officers forget Ankoku, who stood at the apartment door. "Scream, Kuragari!" He shouted, drawing the attention of the young child, crying on the floor. His voice seized the battle between the two sides. The officers, and even the black phantom, turned to the man whose face and mouth were now covered in blood. "Scream for me!" He added with a wide grin.
"Shit---"
Before the officer could finish his sentence, Kuragari opened his mouth and let out a ghostly scream. This seized their nervous system, paralyzing everyone in the immediate vicinity.
The black phantom took this chance to dash around the room, ripping off the heads of all the remaining officers with one slash of its claws. The officer that once held Kuragari was the last standing, and as he was freed from the paralysis, the phantom dashed to him and sliced off his head. He could hear the crazed laughter of the bastard human before all his senses faded.
The black phantom dashed and stopped before the laughing Ankoku, slowly disintegrating into thin air as black smoke. He walked through the disintegrating phantom, going to the child, kneeling on the ground and crying.
He knelt down in front of the child, still laughing. Without care, he dislocated his left-hand thumb, slipping his hands through the cuffs. "Don't cry, Kuragari." He said in a sweet voice, touching its face. "Don't cry."
"Bu-but they hurt daddy." Kuragari kept crying, looking at Ankoku's blood-covered face. "They were trying to take me away from my daddy. They were planning to hurt me."
"Don't worry." Ankoku smiled, hugging the child. As Kuragari was in the middle of the slaughter, his body was covered in blood and some brain matter, but Ankoku didn't care. "As far as I am here, you can't be hurt. So long as we are TOGETHER, you won't feel pain. As far as I am with you, you won't experience pain. So long as you listen to ME, you won't feel pain. We will be fine as long as we are TOGETHER." Ankoku whispered into the child's ear. His eyes opened wide like a crazed man, veins clearly visible in his eyeballs, as he grinned ear to ear.
Kuragari clenched the back of his father's shirt, hugging him tighter. "Yes, daddy."
"Everyone wants to hurt you." Ankoku continued, "They want to make you feel pain like Silver tongue did. Like Mr. Black did. Like everyone else did." he paused, his face contorting in rage, "As Lady Night did. She called these people to us. That woman wanted to separate us! She intended to take you away and hurt you! Everyone wants to hurt both of us!!" His voice got louder as he spoke.
"Everyone wants to hurt you." Ankoku's voice sank to a whisper, "Except me." He released Kuragari from the embrace, kissing it on the lips. "You are mine, Kuragari."
"I am yours, father." Kuragari replied, nodding.
[Come out with your hands up. You're surrounded!] The voice police officer entered the apartment, his voice enhanced by a megaphone. [Retaliate, and you WILL be shot!]
Ankoku ignored the warning, his eyes still on Kuragari. "Can you summon that black phantom again?"
"I don't know." Kuragari replied, looking to the ground. "I don't know how to, daddy."
Ankoku stared at the boy, who was on the verge of tires, noticing he was breathing heavily due to exhaustion. Standing up, he picked up an M4 carbine from the corpse of a police officer nearby, pointing it at Kuragari.
"It will only take a moment. I need to reset you." He smiled at Kuragari, who opened his arm, inviting Ankoku. "Good bo--" He stopped himself, "Good." he simply said.
*Ratata* He fired a three-round burst from the gun, aimed at Kuragari's heart. He fell on his back, and the blood that splattered out immediately returned to his body, resetting him.
He took a deep breath, standing up. Ankoku smiled and walked to another officer, searching through his body. After finding a pistol, he pointed it at the side of his head, removing the safety. "If you don't summon the black phantom, I will leave you forever."
"Daddy, no!" Kuragari screamed, running to him.
*Bang* A shot was fired as dust fell from the ceiling. Just as he pressed the trigger, the dark phantom appeared, redirecting his arm to the ceiling. It stood aimlessly in front of him, its black face made from multiple black bandages looking down at him.
"Good boy." Ankoku smiled, looking up at the phantom. Kuragari hugged his legs, crying, and Ankoku simply patted its head. "I am fine. I am still with you. "You won't be hurt as long as I'm fine." He reattached the safety to the pistol, putting it in his pants for insurance.
"I doubt they will be waiting for us. They are probably already raiding this building." Ankoku said, picking up Kuragari with one hand. "Let's get out of here."
He walked to the window with Kuragari in his arms, but the phantom didn't move. Ignoring it, he opened the window of the third floor, which had no window bars, looking outside. Due to this side of the building facing the street, he could see multiple police cars parked, barricading the building with armed officers waiting.
*Bang* A shot was fired as the black phantom suddenly moved, pulling him back as a sniper bullet narrowly missed him, only grazing his cheek.
"Fuck. A sniper." Ankoku cursed, knowing things were getting dangerous. And with his bleeding, he doubted he could stay awake for five more minutes without getting medical care.
"Daddy, you are hurt!" Kuragari shouted, but Ankoku ignored the statement, running to the window and jumping out.
The black phantom immediately followed him out of the window, catching him in the air and dropping him to the ground, four stories down. Once it landed, all guns were pointed at it, but no shot was fired.
If it were only Ankoku, they would have immediately opened fire, but an 'innocent' child was with him. "Run." Ankoku grinned, and as if listening to him, the black phantom squatted up and leaped up into the air, crossing over the police officers and their car and landing behind them.
It immediately took off running, holding Ankoku tightly in its arms and Ankoku hugging Kuragari.
"Give chase!" A police officer shouted, getting into his car with his member, swerving, and immediately chasing after the car. "Suspect is heading down Thriller Bark street." He announced through his radio.
The phantom dodged the cars in the street, jumping over those it couldn't dodge and trying to escape the cops. Due to how busy Thriller Bark St is in the morning, it was impossible to give chase.
"Unit 1325. We lost visual." The officer, who was giving chase, announced, but just then, another voice came. "Fugitive suspect spotted turning into Kuraigana street."
"Move faster." Ankoku shouted, his eyes looking around to find a way to escape the chase. If it carried on longer, there is a high chance heroes would join in on it, and he would have lost by then. "Shit." He cursed, wishing he had planned earlier.
"Unit 1835, we have a visual on the suspect heading east towards Shikkearu." An officer reported as multiple police cars surprisingly drifted from an intersection, following behind the black phantom to continue chasing. "Suspect speed has increased, now at 161 kilometers per hour."
Ankoku suddenly came up with a plan, pointing at a small ally coming up. "Enter there and stop." The black phantom did as he commanded, stopping once it entered the ally.
He quickly jumped down from the phantom arm, dropping Kuragari and pulling open the sewer. Grabbing Kuragari, he pushed him down the sewers, ignoring his scream of pain as he landed, climbing down and closing the sewer. The phantom that stood in the alley disintegrated just when the police car arrived.
"We have lost sight of the target." A police officer spoke into his radio. He looked at the blood trail Ankoku left, noticing it stopped at the sewer's hole. "Suspect is assumed to have headed down the sewers. Unit 1835 will be heading down."
*Bang* A gunshot came from below the sewers as the police officer looked at his partner, nodding. As the officers walked cautiously to the sewer, a second gunshot sounded, making them wonder what he was shooting at.
Below the sewer, the black phantom carried Ankoku and Kuragari, running through the sewers at super speed. As time passed, Ankoku's eyes were beginning to feel heavy, but he kept them open.
He knew these paths. When he was working for his old boss, Masami, they always escaped through the sewers, and even after four years, nothing changed.
He commanded the phantom where to go, and in a matter of seconds, they reached where he wanted to go. Climbing up, he opened and left the sewers before gesturing for Kuragari to follow, who clumsily climbed after him.
When Kuragari was in arm's reach, he grabbed the child by his arm and yanked it out of the sewers, throwing it to the ground. The black phantom just looked up, standing still. "Go away." He told the phantom before closing it.
They had come out in another alley between two buildings, and he immediately turned to one of the building's walls. He banged on it, shouting, "Fmq zm fu! Fmq zm fu!"
Suddenly the wall slid open like a door, and a man dressed in a doctor's outfit, smoking a cigarette, stood in its way. "Damn. You look ruffed up." He spoke, inspecting Ankoku. "Gang, affiliation---"
"No more of that shit!" Ankoku shouted, cutting off the doctor and clutching his dizzy head. "Just treat me, doctor! I will pay you handsomely. Fuck."
"I need to know my patients." The man said, blowing smoke on Ankoku's face. "Can't let Tom, Dick, Henry enter my humble home."
"Fuck! Ankoku, former generator of Tothemoon Trading Revenue." Ankoku introduced himself, stumbling forward. "Fuck, doctor, just let me in!"
"Oh, Ankoku." His eyes widened in surprise, smirking, "Glad to meet you again. I heard you have been running some kind of child prostitution back at your home." The doctor spoke, leisurely taking a puff from his cigarette, and looking at Kuragari. "I guess the cops finally got a sniff of that."
"Doctor, I am fucking bleeding out, and the cops are on my tail." Ankoku grumbled, too tired to shout.
'I'd like to know what you have been doing these past four years,' he told Ankoku, with Kuragari closely following him while keeping its eyes on the doctor.
The wall closed just as a police officer opened the sewer, cautiously climbing into the alley. He looked around, his gun ready to shoot, looking down at the ground where the blood trail stopped close to a wall, then at the roof.
Clicking his radio, he reported, "Unit 1835 lost trail of the suspect. He is assumed to be on the roof." The officer let go of his radio, looking to his men who were climbing out.
"Where is the hero when we need him?" One of the officers spoke, sighing and lowering his gun. "By the way, why are we chasing him?"
"Torture, physical, sexual, and psychological maltreatment of his child, and prostitution of his child." He explained, walking out of the alley to the sidewalk. "He is a scumbag that needs to be sentenced to death."

As you can see, the police in this world is this world kill. They will shoot and KILL a suspect if they resist arrest. They aren't like the ones in the My Hero Academy world, but like the police in our world. Though they can kill, hero can't.
Also, I started my freshmen year of college on Monday and I am also working, so it will be hard to update everyday. I might miss one or two days, depending on the circumstances, so please be understanding.
