After what seemed like a long and endless car ride, Liliana finally stood outside the unit owned by Albert. It was on the twenty-eighth floor of the luxurious apartment complex, the first among the other three units on the same floor.
Liliana looked down at the access card in her right hand. She stood there for a few minutes, unable to relax her tensed nerves.
"Snap out of it."
Shaking her head in helplessness, Liliana finally tapped the access card on the auto-lock system. With a faint click sound, the door was open. She slowly pushed the door inside.
Liliana took her first step into the unknown apartment unit. With just one look, she could see how bare the entire place was.
The first floor of the duplex unit only had a set of couches, a coffee table, and two drawers. There were no other things decorated the living room, the hallway and even the kitchen.
