After having lunch with the children and taking a commemoration photo, Iris and her staff as well as Asher got ready to leave Warm Hearts Home. It was nearing three-thirty in the afternoon when everything was done.
The children were happy with the gifts they got after making the art pieces. The presents were toys and cute stationeries. They cutely promised to use them well.
Iris tailed behind Asher as they walked to get to the car and the van. When she spoke, the sound of her voice traveled to reach him.
"Seems like you had fun earlier, Mr. Shen."
Halting his steps, Asher turned his head slightly to the back. He saw Iris grinning at him.
"...yes," Asher nodded once, "I had fun. Thank you for inviting me here."
Iris was slightly taken aback to hear Asher thanking her. It was so rare!
"Well... haha, it's nothing. Are you heading home straight?"
