"And you had to ruin it all," Christopher smirked, getting to his feet.
"What the…." Nessa cursed, she couldn't believe that the guy groaning on the ground moments ago was all an act. And she had been sympathizing with him all along? Who knew he was quite a good actor?
Nessa wanted to ask him the reason for his act when Damon grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. The force of the impact stunned her but she didn't get to complain as her boyfriend hugged her tighter. The way he held her, one would think he was hugging his teddy bear in bed.
Lost in her arms, Damon took a deep breath and released it slowly. Indeed, this was truly where he belonged.
Knowing the sacrifice he made for her, Nessa was touched by the gesture and gave up struggling. She snuggled further into Damon's body, inhaling his scent and unintentionally turning him on like crazy.
