"Soooo nobody is going to ask where he got that dog?" Spoke Ban as he broke the silence that filled the room, or should it be forest?

When they were worried about Meliodas, he was only there playing with a weird blue dog.

Meliodas had a few wounds but they quickly healed before they could ask were he got them from.

"Don't worry he's just a water god pokemon" Meliodas casually replied.

"...yeah sure, water god" Ban didn't care at this point at what bullshit came out of his mouth. He wouldn't doubt Meliodas if he told him that a branch he picked up from the side of the road was actually a god killing weapon.

"Anyways all you all get ready we have the dance thingy soon"

The other nodded as they dispersed so that they could prepare.

Yeah that's it, flashy as hell.

Me and the gang were currently hanging out in this party dedicated to us, although I do appreciate the gesture of her magesty it is kind of annoying to deal with these nobels that were constantly complementing me, surely to rub up to me.

I only smiled and nodded as I ate the food that they provided, to my surprise it's actually pretty good. The royal cooks here must be around B-Rank.

'hm?' out of the corner of my eye I saw a woman with beautiful long red hair and striking scarlet eyes.

'well I'll be damned, there she is' I tough.

The woman seemed to sense my stare as she moved her head to meet me eyes.

We looked at eachother for a few seconds until a smile creeped up her face, she then walked towards me.

As she pushed through the crowds of nobles that were surrounding me she finally reached me. "It's an honor the meet the hero of Watoria. My name is Aoife Skadi, the current heir to the Skadi family" she introduced herself with a small bow.

"Aofie?, hahaha it's an honor to meet you as well. I've heard about your incredible skill with the sword!" I exclaimed with a laugh.

A look of surprise dawned on her face "you have heard about me?, my~ it's quite embarrassing when you say it like that." she said as a small blush crept up her face.

"Of course I've heard of you, your sister talks a lot about you" I said as a grin crept into my face

Her blush stoped as her face looked like she was trying to process my word "m-my sister?"

"Yeah Scathach, she's your twin right?"

"Y-yes but how do you know her sir Meliodas?" She asked with a stutter, probably nervous of my answer.

"Well that becuase-" before I could answer her another voiced butted in to our conversation.

"Hey captain!" Exclaimed Scathach who was wearing a beautiful purple dress that complimented her hair color.

"Scathach what are you doing here?" Asked Aoife with a shocked face. I couldn't help but giggle inwardly.

Out of all the people who treat Scathach like shit, her sister is the worst one. Physical abuse, mental abuse, instigation, false rumor, you name it. Aofie is Scathach's biggest hater and abuser. And her main selling point being that Scathach was the Skadi's family failure for not being able to use a sword.

Why the hell do you think I was being so nice to her?.

So that she could build her hopes up of having a nice connection to me, only for it to be burned down by her sister..

Hehehe I could already see Aoifes face blue with despair. She's probably begging In her mind that Scathach doesn't talk about the bad things' she does.

"W-what are you doing here sister?" Aofie seemed so nervous.

"Well I'm here to say hi to the captain of course" she stated with a smug smile.

"Captain?, who could that...be" Aoife seemed to realize who she was talking about as she slowly turned to me.

"Hey Scathach how ya doing" I greeted back.

The crowd of nobles went crazy as they have just found out that the failure of the Skadi family was recruited by the very powerhouse who defeated the black dragon.

"What?"

"Impossible!"

"That failure was recruited by him?"

"Lady Aoife would be a better fit, No?"

Murmurs went throughout the crowd of nobles.

"Surely jest?, I don't think my sister has anything to offer that could make you recruit her" she asked nervously. Each passing second her voice trembled more.

"What are you talking about about?, I admit that Scathach is absolutely crap with a sword but she's an absolute natural with a spear. She was probably born into the wrong family to begin with" I explained with a laugh.

You know, I usually find these mental battles very annoying. I usually like to blow up the problem or burry it six-feet under but I'm actually enjoying this moment.
