The Wisdom of Age: Soga's Theory!

After a few hours of arguing, Sachi makes his first move.

He looks over to Soga Akimitsu and asks,

"Soga-sama, why don't we just ask Hokage-sama to return to the Uchiha clan?"

"No!" the old man's rustled and hoarse voice yelled out, repenting the idea.

"We must remain silent for now.

It would be disgraceful for us to even consider crying and crawling back to the Uchiha clan as of now."

At the Hokage's office, Ryuu, Obito, and Fugaku met.

"Hmph, those ungrateful villagers. We did everything for them and now they celebrate our downfalls?" Fugaku clicks and sneers at this.

"Calm down, Uncle, it's only a matter of time until they realize the mistake they made."

"Yes, Fugaku-dono, Ryuu is right, the villagers will start seeing the truth now that they don't know who or what to blame," Obito adds,

"In any case, everything is set, Ryuu's plan will work, I've already isolated the third Hokage's shinobi. He won't know a thing." Sakumo reassures.

"True, besides, we have Anzai, or rather 'Sachi'," Ryuu states.

They all look at him as he explains Sachi's hidden talent,

"Truth is, Anzai is a key player in this, he's a perfect spy and instigator for us. He specializes in breaking people or villages down from the inside out.

Leave everything to him. His psychological war is something to be truly praised."

While all this was happening, Danzo, Homura, and Koharu met in the foundation mansion.

"Itachi Uchiha really was a competent shinobi. That Mangekyou of his was truly a tool to fear, he slaughtered his entire clan!" Homura stated.

"No," Danzo stated.

"What do you mean, no?" Koharu asked.

"Itachi Uchiha wasn't the one who slaughtered the Uchiha clan," Danzo said bitterly.

"What? Who did?" Homura asked.

"I am uncertain, however, I'm sure of one thing only." He turns towards them with a glare,

"Ryuu Uchiha had something to do with this."

"What? Why would Ryuu Uchiha want to do this to his clan?" She asks,

"Even I can't tell you that. It's pointless to send a shinobi to spy on him, he'll sense them before they even lay their eyes on him.

In any case, you should both be glad I ordered you to stay back. An Anbu was hunting you from the shadows, waiting for you so he could catch you red-handed. I assume by the Hokage's or his son's orders."

"An Anbu?" Homura asked.

"Yes, Kakashi Hatake was following you both."

Koharu and Homura both looked at each other with their eyes widened.

"The Uchiha clan have lost their muscle and are now rebuilding." Danzo continues,

"They're no longer considered a threat apart from the obvious, the untouchable Obito Uchiha, Ryuu Uchiha, the shinobi scourge, and the wicked eye Fugaku.

Itachi Uchiha is now a target everywhere he goes.

I have enough Mangekyou now, there's no need to loot more, and they lost their will to fight. I'll consider this a win against a clan that wanted the destruction of the leaf."

"Danzo, how quickly you forget that we have Ryuu Uchiha who made a move and we don't know what he's planning."

Koharu stated in a slightly worried tone.

"I haven't.

We cannot make a move as of now, rush choices will lead to our deaths.

Besides, I have a plan if he chooses to attack."

"A plan? What plan is this?" Homura asked.

Danzo reaches to his eyes,

"A gift, given from a former associate and made from my past dealings, as well as a gift from Ryuu Uchiha's very own student."

Koharu shakes his head in disappointment,

"Whatever your plan is, make sure it will work, because if not… Ryuu Uchiha will kill us all." Their meeting ended, and they all left Danzo's hideout.

For the whole day, anyone and everyone could sense the frustration building up in the village, people were losing their minds even more than they were losing their belongings.

All this time, not one of them thought of the Uchiha clan as anything more than a nuisance.

However, they understood the importance of keeping the balance and they had to focus their hatred somewhere, but that's where Anzai comes in.

Sachi, Soga, and three other men stood in front of Sakumo. Soga stood in front of them and had already asked Sakumo for support, but his reply was the same as usual.

They were all growing restless because of this. But none of them could say it.

However, Sachi had other ideas.

"I'll say what we're all thinking, perhaps it's time the Uchiha clan returns to their duties of protecting the village, we're-"

"Sachi!"

Soga stopped him mid-sentence. Looking at him with unpleasant eyes.

"I'm sorry, Hokage-sama."

Sakumo nods,

"That's alright, I have much to think about, anyway." Sakumo walked back into his office, leaving the villagers still frustrated.

Soga and his group walked out of the office and were on the streets.

As they were walking back, Sachi asked,

"Old man, why did you stop me earlier, we're all thinking it, the Uchiha clan needs to come back and protect us. There's too much chaos in the village."

"Kid, we need to keep face, immediately after they got massacred, we were all celebrating, now you want us to switch up so easily?"

"They're all shinobi from Konohagakure, is it not their responsibility to keep us safe? Shouldn't they put aside their feelings for us?" Sachi asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

Soga looked back and explained,

"I've lived far longer than what I appear to be. I've seen all 5 Hokages during their reign, and do you know which one is the most memorable?"

Sachi shook his head.

"The first Hokages era is the most memorable one, and the reason is that, back then, everyone coexisted, we lived together and worked together for the sake of the village.

Not many will tell you this part of the truth. But even after Madara Uchiha attacked the village, no one held a grudge against the Uchiha clan. This is all thanks to the first Hokage."

"So what changed?" He asked curiously.

"After the first Hokage died, his younger brother took over the second Hokage.

Soon after he took over, people started being envious of the Uchiha clan, he was so wary of them warier than all other Hokage.

After all, he lived through a war with them for the majority of his life.

His disciples, Danzo, Homura, and Koharu, all inherited these feelings towards the clan, and unlike their sensei, they were less worried about showing their feelings to us.

Koharu and Homura went on to become the advisors of the Hokage, but Danzo…

Well, there are many rumors about him, but no one is ever sure of what he's up to, and I won't spread these rumors.

Listen, I know how much patience the young generation has, so I'll skip to what I think.

I believe Lord second policies are the reason we hate the Uchiha clan so much, we are all to blame."

'This old man has more insight than he lets on. In any case, I should step up my game.'

Sachi looks at Soga, and they arrive at his house.

"But old man, the Uchiha clan is evil, just look at what happened. How can we expect better from a clan that gives birth to one who betrays them? They're filled with hatred, we've known this for as long as we could remember, we have nothing to do with that."

Soga frowned.

"I just told you, their hatred has everything to do with us! Their hatred is born out of our own, the Uchiha clan has long had disputes with the elders of Konoha, and the elders themselves are likely to use our hatred to dispose of them.

The Uchiha massacre, we all know it happened, but have we thought about how it happened? About who could've done it? No one knows for sure and no one is bothering to ask. We're all just following rumors from an unknown source."

Sachi was shocked after hearing this, he just couldn't show it.

'Such incredible insight, I've worked with many Anbu over my years and only a few of them have such insight on things that matter.

Incredible…

My mission was to influence the villagers to think like me, but now that part is done and the next one comes. I have to put it all on Danzo-sama.'

"Hate to say it but this question, it's too difficult to answer… it's too difficult to find a suspect."

Soga had a small grin on his face, a grin showing satisfaction.

"Don't play me for a fool, boy, just say it.

For a clan so big like the Uchiha clan to just… vanish? The fact that even the Anbu didn't interfere until after should already give you your answer. It's the village council behind this!"

Sachi's eyes widened.

"Soga-sama, you can't just say that out loud." He tried to silence Soga, but Soga just snorted and walked home, it was getting dark anyway.
