Runic Tower(Part-1)

Apollo nodded and followed his master as they, after walking for a few minutes, arrived at their destination.

At that time in the Battle Arena, Jacob, who a few minutes ago was seriously injured, was standing tall without a hint of any harm, like he was never injured.

Two figures were standing ahead of him. One seemed like an ordinary human, and the other was similar to Jacob but even bigger than him. 

"So, how does it feel to be ass kicked by someone in their strength domain?" 

"Brother, it isn't a laughing matter!" 

"Hmm, it was you who was getting proud, but now see, there are people beyond people that cannot be fathomed."

"But that guy, 'Ice Lord' or whatever his name was, was something to overpower you this much. Did he like the rumour truly came from 'Eternal Ice Palace'?"

"What do you say, Morris?" 

The big beastkin asked the human next to him.

"The ice energy he released is different from any ice life force I have seen; it was many times stronger and more mysterious than anything." 

"If the person wasn't below the limit-breaking realm, it would be difficult to cure your brother this easily."

"So, just because of the profound ice life force, I believe it might be true that he is from 'Eternal Ice Palace'."

Hearing this, both beastkin brothers' expressions became grave, as 'Eternal Ice Palace' is a behemoth force that even the Empire doesn't dare mess with, but now someone finally came out.

Is this a prelude to the fact that big things are going to happen? They don't know, but they had to take it seriously.

As time went on, rumours about 'The Ice Lord' quickly started to reach every corner of the city, which brought the attention of many strong and mysterious beings in 'Frostheld'.

Somewhere hidden in a paradise-like place, a mysterious voice reverberated.

"Sebas, Chrollo, go check; it seems someone is impersonating us."

"Yes!"

Two shadow-like figures emerged from a mysterious space and advanced towards Frostheld City.

Apollo didn't know that his appearance in the Battle Arena had created such large movements among the forces in the city. As right now, he appeared in front of the 'Runic Tower', one of the three host spots of Frostheld.

"Kid, are you ready to feel high?"

"Ahh....?"

Hearing Master's words, a wonderful expression appeared on his face. Master wouldn't want to make a twelve-year-old kid an addict? He asked, "High, like in being drunk?" 

Seeing the weird expression on his apprentice, he remembered his mistake. "Haha, oh yeah, I sometimes forget how young you are."

"Drinking is bad; don't become a drunkard like that old dwarve."

"Don't think much; it will just make you feel like that for a few times first, but nothing bad as you slowly get the hang of it."

Master Aaron corrected his words, but Apollo had a different feeling about this.

'A place where you can have the feeling of getting high but don't really have to do it, a true paradise for stoners.' 

Now, when he thinks about the things that are supposed to be training, he feels weird as he seems to be doing something entirely different. The first was gambling in the arena, and now this. 

Is he training to become a strong warrior or for the strongest wastrel?

"Sigh!"

"Let's go."

Both entered the Runic tower, which had fewer people within, as it was not like a battle arena filled with many people and instead could be said to be a bit empty.

He only saw a few dozen people on the ground floor of the tower; maybe it had to do something with the cost.

Here, they didn't have to wait, as a cute lady quickly came to them and led them to the person who would provide them with the required authorization for the different floors of the tower.

The person ahead of them seems to be a beautiful lady with a sexy figure that can turn even an old man, as even his master Aaron, seems to be feeling some of the heat. It might be worse if her face wasn't covered by a veil, but she still made everyone's hearts tremble with her voice. 

"Hello, what floor permit do the guests want?"

Apollo still maintained his calm; he did not feel much, maybe because of his mind or just because his body was still young. The charm of the lady ahead had a minimal effect on him.

"Who are you? Someone as talented as you doing this simple work."

Master Aaron could not help but ask as he felt the extraordinariness of her beauty.

"Sir misunderstood. How can this lowly one be considered talented in front of guests?"

"Okay, give a ten-day permit for the 1st floor and 4th floor." 

He didn't ask more, as she wasn't willing to talk, and he quickly bought their permits for Runic Tower.

"11,000 Ice-shards." The lady replied with a calm voice.

"Still expensive; take it."

Master Aaron took out the ice shards, feeling pain, and paid them, and the lady quickly gave the tokens marked first and fourth on them.

"Let go."

They left the place and went upwards while the lady covered in a veil took a few glances at Apollo, who didn't seem to care or look at her.

"Okay, now let me tell you about the runic tower and what you need to do."

"There are two main places on every floor of the tower."

"First is psychic Rune Hall, where you will feel euphoric that you never felt before and let go of your inner desire. Here, you need to understand the true desire of your heart hidden within your deep mind and quickly break free from your desires."

"So, you need to continue to feel and break through various layers in it."

"The more layers you break, the stronger your mind will be, and it will be harder for someone to influence.
