Mutated Life Energy

After a single clash between them, the veterans gained a general understanding of their enemies.

These beasts were faster than cheetahs, had skin harder than iron, and had claws sharper than swords that could easily penetrate armour, but that's not the problem here. The problem here is that, whether they have claws or jaws, they are covered in death energy, making every single attack on them deadly.

Their bodies also seem to be resistant to life energy attacks. And for physical attacks, although they can damage them, these beasts feel no pain or fear, so unless they are fully squashed, they will continue their assault even when they are missing one or two legs.

The battle between them continued. Various weapons clashed with the beasts as they all showed their strength. Although it was difficult to defeat those beasts, they were also not ordinary people instead, they were elites, so even with difficulties, they faced these beasts with calm tactics without doing anything unnecessary.

Soldiers of the Fletcher family, under the command of Apollo's Grandpa, surrounded the beasts and faced them in groups. They knew their exact roles and had a good understanding of each other. Their attacks were not flashy, but they used their combination to slowly kill them.

While the guards around Roseate were strong individually and did not need one another's help, they, with their strong strength, dominantly faced the beasts. Every single sawing of their swords will create a large gust of wind, severing the beast's skin harder than metal.

Apollo was standing behind him and was looking carefully at everything, waiting for his chance to battle.

The battle continued for half an hour, as it was difficult to kill them, but now only a single wolf beast remained. 

"Go!" 

His grandfather said that the reason he brought his grandson was for experience, and death beasts are rare opponents for Apollo.

Everyone is looking at Apollo, whether it is the soldiers, guards, or even Miss Roseate and Master Aaron. They are looking at how Apollo, a twelve-year-old kid, will perform facing a formidable enemy.

The death beasts are strong, and only a few people in the Fletcher family can single-handedly defeat them, so it was surprising that they were letting a kid face it alone.

The wolf beast was two meters tall, with black fur and bloody red eyes, and was surrounded by the soldiers. It had many cuts and bruises on its body, but it did not decrease its ferocious nature.

Apollo drew his sword from his scabbard, jumped, came near the beast, and started circling it.

The soldiers moved back a little but were ready to take action if Apollo was in danger.

Although he looked like a kid, he was calm and collected, not like a child. His eyes were clear, as he was looking at the enemy ahead of him.

Immediately, a burst of life energy came out of his body, and instantly, a light blue aura covered him from inside to outside.

The sword started glowing and became crystal white, and it started to release a chilled, cold aura. His deep breath can be seen as the temperature around him seems to have dropped.

"Oh! Mutated Prana."

Master Aaron and Roseate were surprised to see that the life energy of Apollo is a rare mutated ice element life force. On the other side, his grandfather and Fletcher's family soldiers were feeling proud.

Usually, life energy does not have different properties, when used correctly, it can be used to heal or destroy enemies. 

But mutated life forces are different as they have certain properties that make them stronger in that particular area, like life energy with fiery flame energy, which has extraordinary destructiveness, or water or light life energy, which is often better at healing than usual life energy. 

Especially light life energy; their healing abilities are off the charts; they can even regrow missing hands or legs easily. 

So-mutated life energy is the synonym for genius in the world of Rion. Almost every powerhouse that has left its name in history has some sort of mutated life energy.

Even when there are hundreds of warriors present here except sword master Aaron, no one else has mutated life energy.

Now, after seeing that, Apollo not only awakened mutated life energy but also a strong ice life force that is good in both offence and defence, an ideal life force with no particular weakness, which was shocking news for them.

Apollo did not wait anymore as he stepped with fast speed and came close to the beast. His movement was so quick that the beast did not even get the time to react before he came close to it. 

He slashed toward the wolf beast, but instead of cutting the beast, a clank sound similar to metal colliding was heard.

As he was about to attack again, a giant claw attacked him instantly, and he also quickly used his sword to block the attack. Apollo's sword and the beast's claw immediately collided, knocking him a few meters backwards.

"Such strong strength and defence."

Apollo's hands were shaking after he clashed with the beast. The strength and defence of the beast were high, as his sword only left a small mark with chilling cold energy on it.

However, the frigid cold energy vanished as it was rapidly absorbed by the death energy. If other monsters were tainted with his ice-cold life energy, their blood and organs would begin to freeze, but these death beasts are natural nemeses of life energy; no matter what form of life force they encounter, death energy devours them.

Seeing this, he understood that his normal attack could not do much damage unless he burst out with all his life energy.

So instead, he wanted to use his life energy more efficiently. He was going to use the Prana skill.
