Genius In Douluo Dalu

Mushin, or Zen, is known as a state of emptiness. When in this state, the mind is free of thoughts yet possesses a thought process so fast that martial artists are known to be near unbeatable in such a state. What happens when a mortal man, a reincarnated soul achieves this state. Zack Hughes, a man who reached such a state was rewarded with transmigration for a feat never achieved before by a mortal. This is his journey as Tang San's Brother in Douluo Dalu with Twin Spirits. --------------------- There will be no direct OP MC at the start. I will show his time in the Tang Sect too. He will not have a million-year-old spirit ring or Unlimited Martial Spirits. As said in the tags he will be making decisions after carefully studying which powers he would like. I do not own Douluo Dalu. It belongs to Tang Jia San Shao. I only own my OC. All images (if) uploaded in the novel do not belong to me. I am not an artist. They belong to their respective artists, if you wish to remove them please text me, I will do so.

Observation Haki Evolves!

Sorry for the Late Chapter, but these irregular updates will probably go on for a while. Most of my exams are scheduled over the next 2-3 months, so I hope you'll tolerate the updates.

Also, sorry if I don't reply to all the comments. I don't have much time on my hands now and I will be aiming for completing and posting new chapters.

Sorry for the small chapter, but I had to squeeze in time during my exams to write this so please bear with it.

Also, I'll be checking the poll to see if I should introduce a love interest next. I have Bibi Dong's part already planned out, so I'll be checking the other love interests.

Sorry for those of you who might think that this is too early, but I don't want this to be a fall in love at first sight or damsel in distress thing. They will probably start out as friends or best friends and eventually get closer, so I have to span it out over a few years at the least.

Thanks for Reading!

-----Star Dou Forest-----

(MC POV)

"Finally...", I mumbled as I gasped.

I had looted a bandit's base on the way to Star Dou Forest for money. Although most of the roads leading to cities and important trading points had many Spirit Masters tottering about, the underdeveloped roads from villages had many bandits frequenting them.

However, I had rushed to a village pretty far from Holy Spirit Village to attack a Bandit's Base I had found there. If there had been a sudden disappearance of the stashes of bandits and maybe bandits themselves, if I were caught, it would have been suspicious.

After all, multiple strange occurrences, right near the Holy Spirit Village may have brought troubles to my family and me. Also, with my father wanted by the Spirit Hall, I would rather not take any risks.

After buying my way into a party, I had entered the Forest, only to pay them extra and separate. They had agreed to the deal right before entering the forest.

They had tried cornering me, seeing the amount of money I had provided, however, I had lost them as I ran around the forest at high speeds, after separating from them.

I hadn't used my Conqueror's Haki on them, after all, I wouldn't want to risk relating myself to the incident which I had unintentionally caused.

Rooaarr!!

A panther had tried pouncing on me seeing my back wide open, however, I had already noticed it's presence through Observation Haki. Swiftly sidestepping, I lifted my hand and pummeled it into the ground.

Smash!

As the beast went unconscious I checked my belongings to see if I had not lost any of them. Seeing everything intact, I sighed and started moving inner into the forest.

"What a troublesome day...", I muttered as I disappeared into the woods.

-----Timeskip - 1 Month-----

(3rd POV)

Splash!

"Grrr..."

Roaarrrr!

Four beasts, having bodies similar to those of alligators, were leaning forward, growling as they did so at a boy of roughly 7 years in front of them. The boy was weird.

The boy had a blindfold on his face, covering his eyes. He didn't seem to care for the beasts growling near him. As the beast on his right made a jump at him, opening it's maw in an attempt to swallow his head off, the boy ducked, as though he didn't have any trouble seeing without his eyes.

Another alligator-like beast jumped at him only to be dodged again. The beasts who had been dodged came back again, with renewed vengeance. Again and again, all four beasts pounced on him, only to be dodged.

The boy seemingly have 'played' enough, punched a beast's head into the floor instantly knocking it unconscious.

Smack!

The other three beasts stumbled back for a second, as though in disbelief of what had happened.

However, beasts who are no more than 2000 years old, did not have much intelligence, as such they continued their assault, only to get the same treatment from the boy.

---- 5 minutes back----

(MC POV)

Training observation Haki with the help of beasts was quite fruitful. Unlike what training the characters did in One Piece, the beasts here had meant to kill. Training with your life on the line is much more fruitful than one without.

Normally, I wouldn't have taken such a risk, however, I had felt it... I had felt a nagging feeling as though I just need one last push... It felt similar to before when I had seen the Essence of the World, just one last step and I would be free of something, or rather I would achieve something.

As the beasts kept attacking me, I dodged, dodged and dodged again. Trying to instinctively feel what I needed to further my Observation Haki. It was when the beasts I had dodged come back again, with increased killing intent had the nagging feeling showed itself.

The world felt calm at the same time, chaotic. Chaotic because of the beasts around me and calm because of the peaceful nature that surrounded me. It felt exhilarating!

I had understood what I felt when I sensed the beasts in my Observation Haki's range.

"I can feel their emotions...", I mumbled in surprise and awe.

I couldn't discern everything. I couldn't discern what a person desired in the depths of their heart or read their minds.

The beasts around me had a mixture of annoyance, anger, hatred, and an instinctive tinge of fear. After all, I had passively started using Conqueror's Haki, albeit very weak in force to spread around me.

A beast, which may or may not have sensed my momentary pause, attempted to chew my head off.

As the beast snapped my attention back to the present, I decided to marvel at this new display of the world in front of me later and beat my training partners up first.
