Who you votin' for?

(hey It's me! The author! Go back to chapter 2 and read the rules again. And try to come up with a strategy of your own! I didn't take all the possible scenarios into mind so I would love to hear you try!)

James let's go of my collar.

"Doesn't matter! Even if I talk to you. you wont listen!"

"Woah woah calm down! What happened all of the sudden?" Abby tries to calm me down

"I hate boys who get angry like that I hate them! I hate them! Like you have a woman in front of you! Are you really gonna just ruin your reputation?"

Sarah who was quit all this time bursts out

"Even if I told you a full-proof plan to this game you won't listen to me!"

"Ofcourse we'll listen to you! You're our teammate for this game!"

"Oh yeah? I do have a plan actually!"

Majority of the people seem to be surprised by my claims.

"A-alright...go on... explain..."

"The rule said that if majority of the students got equal amount of votes then 10000 times the amount of votes will be our loss/profit according to individual votes. But there is a good way to exploit this! We can all put our votes on a single person! That way the total equal amount of votes will be 0 and 0×10000 is also zero."

Sarah gasped as she processed the information i just smoothly presented. On the other hand Dickson who was quite all this time gave himself a devilish smirk.

"Oh my! That's genius! Ausable that was unexpected from you! So! We can now implement our newly made plan right?"

Even though what I just said wasn't all that much impressive I still got complemented.

"Alright so let's hurry up and use this plan" Dickson who was also mostly quit advised.

I walked behind Dickson and slightly pinched his shoulder.

"Oh no! My dear friend Dickson! You really are so straight forward aren't you? Or rather you already know about the holes in this plan and are waiting for us to fall into it?"

He seemed uncomfortable as I pinched his shoulder and slowly got harder and harder. His face was covered with sweat and his pupils were dialating

"Wh-what are you talking about?"

"Seems like you still don't get it. You see even if we went on with this plan then a traitor could still be born since we wouldn't know who voted for whom"

"S-so you think I'm gonna be a traitor huh? Do you even have a good reason to conclude that?"

His pupils were dialating, he seemed awfully nervous and was shaking which is complete opposite of what Natalya told me. I trust Natalya enough to conclude that this is unnatural behaviour for him. Though I can't really give this information to make others believe me.

"Oh no no no! Don't you think that! I do not think you're a traitor. I just have a different plan than this!"

"I'm done with your pla-"

"We can also vote with a team of 2! Natalya and I are in the first team! Abby and sarah in the second and James and Dickson in the third! First I'll tell you how we are gonna vote each other"

"Hurry up! Not much time is left!"

"I'll give Natalya 1 vote and she will give herself 1 that is 2 votes for Natalya and 0 for me. Next James will give 1 vote for Dickson and Dickson will give 2 vote to himself that's 3 votes for Dickson and 0 for james! And finally Abby will give 2 votes to herself and sarah will give 2 votes to Abby. That way Natalya, Dickson, and Abby would have different amount of votes that is 2 , 3 and 4 respectively. And me, James and sarah would have equal votes that is 0. And we all know 0×10000 is zero!"

Sarah seems to be kind of confused

"Why do we have to do that in teams? We can just do it normally like your first plan"

"There will be one difference if we were to go according to my last plan then a traitors could easily mess up the votes and we wouldn't know since who voted whom is not announced. But if go according to my second plan then the traitor can't do that because how much votes each person gets will be announced anyway! If we see a team with amount of votes that wasn't planned then we can conclude that they are the traitors!"

"Oh my! That is literally genius! That was reaaally unexpected from you!" Abby stated

"I still don't get it" sarah seems confused

"But what if there is no traitor? We would do all that for nothing!"

I pinch Dickson's shoulder harder and then look at him dead in the eyes.

"Oh no I'm not saying that there is a traitor! It's just for safety purposes! And if someone is a traitor then...I would be really really mad y'know?"

The discussion round was over. It felt like Dickson peed his pants but i dunno.

"Alright students voting results are on the board for each team!"

Natalya: 2 votes

Dickson: 3 votes

Abby: 4 votes

Ausable: 0 votes

James: 0 votes

Sarah: 0 votes

Since three people got equal amount of votes that is 0. 0×10000 points have been added/removed from your debts.

"Students now you all will be taken to the next game"

Looks like it worked out. No one was the traitor after all. Or maybe I just prevented it? Who knows.

"You really worked hard didn't you?"

Natalya who was quite the entire game mouthed.

"You! I hate you! I hate you! I know you were thinking about the same plan! But waited so I had to waste my energy! And socialize."

"Jeez chill out it was for money right? But it almost felt like that was done to make you like activate or something."

"That's kinda true"

"So! Since we won! You have to kiss me!"

"Don't be ridiculous. We won because of me alright?"

"So if we won because of me instead. you would have kissed me?"

"I-uh i- no! I wouldn't have!"

She is really good at dumb arguments as well.

"C'mon! One kiss wouldn't hurt would it?"

"Shut up"

Doesn't look like she is gonna give up. I'll have to do change the subject.

"So we are getting 'transported' to the next game right? You have any thoughts on that?"

"Seems like a good escape route to me. Although I don't want to leave!"

She clings to my arm

"I'm having fun"

I push her away and reply.

"Fun? You think loosing money is fun?"

"Then again, you're always so sensitive to money"

Smoke starts filling the room. It looks like it is coming from below the door which was locked. I don't think there is an escape to this yet.

"Oh we are gonna be unconscious in a few seconds right? That's how it goes in most of the movies!"

She holds her breath. I find it unusual because she should be smart enough to realise that she can't escape.

"Why are yo-"

"I'm doing it so that I go unconscious after you!"

"What will that achieve?"

"I dunno! Maybe i find something onto you while you're gone? Maybe in your pockets? Maybe I'll look how much your weenie has grown since we were little?"

Those words sent chills down my spines. This woman is crazy.

I go unconscious.
