Day 24: Golem problem

It was nine a clock in the morning. Dennis, finally been able to rest, made him oversleep, but a sweet aroma awoke him and drove him to the kitchen. When he arrived. He saw Dj wearing a red apron making pancakes while the table was already set.

"Dj...? What are you doing?"

"Making pancakes, I felt that today should be a day to celebrate, after all. You did square off against a harbinger and survived. Just to wonder what else is to this place."

Dj said as he turns around and places three pancakes on Dennis's plate.

"Well then, I guess you're right... But hey at least we know how strong they are..."

As Dennis mentioned. The wolf pup then came by and sat on the chair next to Dennis.

"Well, looks who's here. You want some pancakes?"

The pup then barks, and Dj gives it two pancakes while he takes a seat to dine in during the breakfast. But as a minute passed, they heard something fall coming from the front side of the house. It disrupted their eating and went to check it out.

When they went to the front side of the house. They noticed the golem was down on the ground. Dennis went over to the golem and sensed that they were still alive.

"Um... I think they are running low on mana..."

Dennis said. He tried to apply his own mana on to the golem to help it out. And it worked. The golem could get up thanks to Dennis, but it sat down.

"Dennis... Thank you for... Helping me..."

The golem said to Dennis, but soon its eyes went black. Making its mana flow hard to notice.

"Hey... Hey! You're not leaving us like that...!"

Dennis then tried to apply more mana to the golem, but it wasn't enough until a light green light came out of his hands that healed the golem. Tears then came out of his eyes.

"No way... Dennis, you're using healing magic!"

Dj said, but he noticed Dennis was struggling with his magic as he saw dark green jolts of lightning coming out of his hand. He goes to help Dennis by trying to separate him from the golem, but he felt that his energy was been drained.

"Come on Dennis... Give it all that you got!!"

As Dennis was being inspired by Dj, even getting dragged into this mess. He refocused his mana flow in order to save the golem. Overtime the amount of magic Dennis had used was reaching his limit and soon sent him back. Pushing him away from the golem along with his friend.

"Hey G... Are you feeling alright?"

Dennis said as he gets picked up by Dj. They both approached the golem and found out that its back to life. Joy overcome them as the golem moved around. It then looked at Dennis and Dj, grabbed them, and went for a hug.

"Dennis, thanks again for helping me."

The golem said. At that moment, they realized the golem could speak more fluently than before. It surprised them, at the very least.

"I will follow my statement. Today is a day to celebrate."

"I'm just glad that we saved you in time..."

With the current happenings from this morning. They continued on with their days as if it was a regular day. Except Dennis tried to use healing magic on himself during the afternoon inside the house in his room, but it didn't work.

He tried it multiple times, but it never seems to work at all. Moments later, he heard a loud thud coming from outside the room and went to inspect it. He saw the pup hurt itself trying to get into a room that hadn't been explored.

"Come here. You should have looked for me if you wanted to explore around the house."

Dennis said to the pup, and he attempted to use his new healing magic on it, and it seemed to work. That made him question why it works on other but not on himself. But he then focused on the door that the pup was trying to go into.

When he opened, Dennis found it was a vast white room, and it had five cases to hold weapons left and right with a floating blue orb in the middle of the room. Completely enclosed from being found.

"Wow... This must be like an armory of sorts."

Dennis then went over to inspect the orb, but as he approached. He could sense that someone had entered the house and was searching for them. By turning around, he saw Nix with a kiss mark on her neck.

"Nix, are you okay...?"

"No... Um... I'm just going to stay here for a couple of days..."

Nix said to Dennis and moved on. Entering one of the other unchecked rooms in the house. Aside from that, Dj walked by and found Dennis. Worried about what was wrong with their friend.

"Hey, did you see Nix just now? Her clothing seemed a bit displaced..."

Dj said to Dennis as he was placing his hand on the blue orb. It made created a holographic map that revealed an upper view from their area. From their location it was near the woods, but calling out to their attention, and it was a blinking light towards the snow nearby and wondered what it was.

"Wana, talk to Nix to figure out what happened?"

"Not sure... I think something happened over at the castle, if I'm not mistaken, but I rather find that out when we go to the capital."

Dennis said to Dj as they walked out of the room. With a place of interest in mind. They knew what they needed to investigate during the next upcoming days, but as of now. The only thing they were dealing with was getting Nix out of the room she entered as it become nighttime. Making it in time for dinner, but she didn't say nothing during the entire night.
