The moon hung low in the sky, casting a pale light over the darkened forest as Elijah stood frozen in the lookout tower. His heart raced in his chest, his hand trembling as it gripped the radio. He could barely believe what he was seeing, a monstrous abomination slowly crawling through the trees, its presence more terrifying than anything they had encountered before.
It was massive, towering above the treetops, its grotesque body supported by dozens of thick, human-like fingers tipped with black claws. The fingers curled and dug into the earth as it slithered forward, dragging its massive bulk across the forest floor. From its twisted form, long, blood-draining tentacles the width of tree trunks hung down, twitching and slithering as if searching for prey. The tentacles were slick and covered in what looked like veins, pulsating with dark liquid as they writhed in the air.
