Game of Thrones-The Black Lord

(Sequel To “For The Queen, Not The Prince”) It all started in Summerhall. Aegon The Unlikely’s attempt at resurrecting the Dragons was successful but at the cost of his life. The fire was able to be put out, not before it took Aegon V's life as well as his son, Ser Duncan The Tall, and a few rooms. Ever since then, the events that decide the fate of Westeros had vastly changed. Dragons had returned; it was said that during the night of the fire, a bright crimson comet was seen in the night sky. During the end of King Aerys’s reign, a Rebellion started. But it wasn’t started by Robert Baratheon due to Rhaegar’s actions. Robert instead fought for the Targaryens and was married to a Princess which resulted with them having a son, Rhaegon. Rhaegon Baratheon is the rider of Morghul, a massive Black Dragon that Hatched at the end of the Rebellion started by the River Dragon. He was not just named after the Dragon that was bound to Aegon III's first wife and cousin, Jaehera but because of Rhaegon's unique sense of humor as he inherited his mother's spirit. Weirwood II

(Rhaegon's POV)

Morghul let out a roar as I landed him on the snow, next to a tree line.

"Why are we stopping?" I heard Tyene ask me as I dismounted

"Get off." I told them

I watched as the three of them dismounted, Morghul rumbling as he looked at me.

"Worry not." I said in High-Valyrian

I rubbed my hands together as I proceeded to walk towards the treeline. If I recall correctly, this is the same place where I interacted with the Weirwood tree.

"What's going on, Rhaegon?" Nymeria asked as they walked behind me

Morghul vocalized loudly as he watched us walk through the trees.

I kept walking, going towards where I remembered the Weirwood Tree was. I was getting an unusual feeling on the back of my neck, my ears were ringing a bit.

I heard the call of a raven above us.

I looked up to see one on one of the tree branches, "You see me, don't you?" I said to it, "You know I want to speak to you."

"Rhaegon, what are you saying?" Obara asked as I kept walking

As I walked, I noticed the Weirwood Tree in the distance, the same one from before. I could've gone North of the Wall to get answers, but I would be a fool to cross without Morghul, who can't get past it. It has to do with magic, I know it, I can feel it in my bones. Dragons aren't allowed past the Wall and I have to know why.

I could connect to the Weirwood Tree and commune with him; Bloodraven.

I reached the Weirwood, a strange hum emitting from it as I looked at the face carved into it.

"Rhaegon...." I heard Nymeria say, "This is strange, let's go.."

I glanced back at them, "Keep your distance." I told them as the raven's call got louder, "Whatever happens, do not pull me away. Got that?"

Tyene frowned, "What do you me-"

"I'm serious." I cut her off, "I mean it."

Nymeria nodded, "O-Okay, but..." She said softly, "What are you going to do?"

I knelt down and faced the tree, reaching for it, "Get answers." I said simply

I grabbed one of the roots, holding it firmly. The moment I laid contact with it, I felt my entire body be hit with a jolt of energy. My vision went blurry and I felt my entire body spin.

Suddenly, everything went black and I was in the middle of what was similar to last time; a black plane.

I frowned as I raised my arms, "Hm...." I said, "What is this.....feeling...?"

"You've come back." I heard a voice say

This time, it was much clearer. The voice of a man. It was a bit raspy, and sounded like an old man who didn't drink enough water, but it was clear.

I turned to see the same figure as before; fused to a bunch of tree branches, a man with white hair and a blood-red eye. He had a single scar on his left eye and a bit of a scruffy beard on his face. His skin was pale, completely pale, as if the snow and cold had frozen it completely.

I took a step forth, my entire body feeling heavier than usual, "You..." I said, "It's you, isn't it? Brynden Rivers, Bloodraven..."

He slowly raised his head and pierced me with his eye, "Ah...." He said, "You've figured it out, huh? I'm surprised. I didn't think that the boy with the Baratheon blood would be smart. Your kind had always been pure brawn.....no brains."

I narrowed my eyes, "What is this?" I gestured

"You're within my power, I suppose." Bloodraven said, "You're communing with me, connected with my mind as I am connected with every single Weirwood in the Realm.....connected to the Green.....anything that is related to that; any animal.....human...inhuman...."

"You're a Greenseer." I said

"The last of my kind." He said as he nodded

I noticed he waved his fingers, a branch fused through his forearm which kept it stuck in that same position.

"All of this...." I said, "The whole....marriage thing....the whole Dorne plot....that was you?"

He looked at me, "I needed to secure Dorne." He said, "I saw it, you don't understand, they plan to invade through there."

"They?" I asked

"The Pretenders." He said, "The Blackfyres."

"Pretenders? There's more than one?" I asked

"There's always more than one rat in the halls of the keep." He spat with annoyance, "For as long as I can remember, Daemon's blood has been causing nothing but inconveniences. It is becoming irritating."

I nodded, "O-Okay..." I said, "But everything else....The Long Night...the East...what is that about?"

"I don't know much about the details of the Eastern Serpents' plan...." He said, "The Dark Order.....that group of zealot women...but I do know one thing. They plan to invade Westeros when the Long Night Starts. From what I could gather back then, they intended to set the entire Realm ablaze, sacrificing every single one of you to destroy the Others. And when that happens, anything that can connect to Essos will be obliterated, cutting the Realm off completely, and watch as the flames burn all."

I widened my eyes, "W-What?" I said, "You're kidding me, right? They can't do that!"

"You're right, they can't. They mustn't." He said as he looked at me, "So I did the most logical thing. I delayed the Long Night."

I frowned, "What?"

"Decades ago, before the Fated Rebirth." He said, "The Others were supposed to bring their King back, the one in your dreams, the vision I sent you.....but I stopped them. I wasn't happy with what I had to do...but sacrifices were inevitable. I stopped his awakening and delayed the inevitable, saving the Realm at the time."

"How?" I asked, "What sacrifices?"

"A small Genocide of the Freefolk." He said with a serious look, "Their sacrifices saved the lives of their kind and those south of the Wall, until the return of the Dragons."

I couldn't believe my ears. So this man killed who knows how many people just to stop an unstoppable event? W-What?

"I had to work fast." Bloodraven continued, "I needed the Targaryen Dynasty to stay in power so I did everything to keep your Family on the Throne. I heard rumors of the Bleeding Star appearing nearby so I sent visions to Aegon, telling him that the Ritual needed to be done. He listened, but the poor fool sacrificed himself instead. But that was an accidental boost to the Dragons. His blood, flesh, bone, reduced to cinders.....fused themselves to the three eggs.....granting them great dormant powers...."

I frowned, "What do you mean?" I asked, "M-Morghul was one of them...."

"I know." He said, "One day, that one will become the greatest beast since Balerion, The Black Dread. Until then, you'd have to make do with what you have."

I shook my head, "I don't get it. That whole deal, that was you?" I asked, "You made sure Aegon V did the ritual?"

"It is necessary!" He said with an angry tone, "There is a power in the East that is constantly fighting against my influence! I need to get ahead of that thing....that....whatever the hell he is!"

"What?" I said

"Zaldrizes Jaes." Bloodraven said, "The Dragon God. The Dark Order worships a false god which grants them unstable power. Those black priestesses are far more dangerous than the Red ones your uncle has gotten involved with. They're the reason you exist, Rhaegon Baratheon."

I narrowed my eyes, "What do you mean?"

"I manipulated events to have Rhaegar and Shaena Targaryen be born, to be healthy Targaryen children born from Aerys and Rhaella." He said as I felt an overwhelming pressure come from him, "They were meant to wed together and have a Pure Targaryen child to sit on the Iron Throne when the Long Night arrives. That child was the Prince That Was Promised, the Champion of Humanity that'll defeat the Others. But NO!!!!"

I took a step back, taken aback by the sudden outburst of anger.

"The Dark Order and their own fucking plans...." He continued as he pointed at me with his finger, "YOU were born instead...Shaena was supposed to be the perfect vessel to nurture a powerful Targaryen, but instead, they've manipulated the events, whispered in Aerys's ear to have Rhaegar marry that Martell girl, wasting his potential on the two unfortunate children that eventually died. And they instead had your Mother marry a Baratheon...and you came from his blood instead, diluting the potential that Rhaegon Targaryen was supposed to have....FOR WHAT?! Is it to spite me?! Who is this fucking Dragon God?! TELL ME, WHO?!"

The entire black plane shook violently in what I assume was a response to his anger.

"Take it easy!" I said, "What the hell do you mean they're the reason?! The River Dragon caused a rebellion and forced my Father to win victories in my Grandfather's name."

"You fool! Who do you think sent the River Dragon, Vaegon Blackfyre!?" He shouted, "It was them!! Vaegon's military skill was unmatched, he conquered the whole of Myr without Westeros even knowing it. Your Father stood no chance yet he somehow won those battles in which the Dark Order had Aerys reward your mother to him."

"Yet he lost to my Uncle." I said, "They fought in the Trident atop their Dragons and the River Dragon lost."

"Vaegon, from what I understand, was too overzealous. He was supposed to secure YOUR conception and retreat, keeping the Realm on high alert while the Order acted their second plan." Bloodraven said, "The fact that he overstepped and started the rebellion was not planned, but they played along. Vaegon Blackfyre wanted more and flew too close to the sun, ended up getting killed and his Valyrian Steel taken. You wield one part of his Greatsword. Which is good, you need it for the Fight that comes."

I took a step back, "W-Wait what?" I said, "What are you even saying? What the fuck do you mean?"

"I made sure I had my own sword taken to Bravoos, had someone stupid enough to challenge Rhaegar with it, and ensured that he claimed it as his own." He continued, "Valyrian Steel will work against the White-Walkers; Aerion Targaryen killed one with his own sword, that's how I know. Dark Sister is in possession of a Targaryen, rightfully so. I never deserved it. As for Blackfyre, I don't know where it is. We need all the Valyrian steel swords we can muster. To fight. House Royce has Lamentation and Lady Rhea. Lamentation was lost for decades after the Dance ended and Lady Rhea had been mounted safely in Runestone since then. Make sure we're prepared, Rhaegon Baratheon. You'd still be useful."

I shook my head, "I don't understand. Who is this Dragon God you're talking about?" I asked

"I don't know." He said seriously, "Whatever he is, his influence rivals mine. But trust me on this, make yourself more useful and combine Rhaegar and Shaena's blood; put a child inside Myrcella Targaryen. Continue the fated bloodline. Do it."

I then felt the entire plane shake and my vision spun violently.

"W-Wait..." I said as my voice distorted, "Wait!!"

Suddenly, I was back into the real world, being pulled back by Nymeria and Obara.

"Rhaegon!!" They exclaimed

"Fuck, Brynden!! Why my Mother?!" I exclaimed as I panted heavily, "Wait!"

I lay on the snow, my head resting against Obara's lap as Nymeria and Tyene knelt on either side of me.

"Hey, Rhaegon." Nymeria patted my cheeks, "A-Are you okay? You were convulsing, your body steaming...."

I blinked, "I...." I said, "I....don't know.....fuck...."

"What did you do?" Tyene said, "What happened?"

"I talked to him...." I said softly, "The man responsible for half of the important events in this world...the one responsible for us....."

"The Three-Eyed Raven..."
