Cynthia didn't respond to her words. Instead, she leaned back in her chair, playing with the pen in her fingertips. She spoke slowly, "Miss Burg, we are just business partners, nothing more."
The implication was that she had no obligation to report her thoughts and plans to Claudia. Her indifferent and slow demeanor carried a chilling and intimidating power.
Claudia's pupils slightly contracted, and she apologized, "I'm sorry."
"The contracts are for you. I won't force you. Consider it carefully, and report to the company next Monday," Cynthia stated.
"Understood," Nina and Claudia replied simultaneously.
After they left, Chelsa walked in from outside. "Miss Shannon, I need your signature on this document."
Cynthia took it without a word and swiftly signed her name.
Glancing at Chelsa, who seemed conflicted, Cynthia couldn't help but ask, "Curious why I kept those two?"
Chelsa nodded, "I don't understand why you would help them."
