"Aunt, this is clearly a setup by Cynthia against our Sweeney family! My father is innocent, you must find a way to save him!" Naomi's voice was tense, tinged with uncontrollable tremors. "Cynthia has befriended many powerful figures, she must be colluding with the police behind the scenes to frame our family! Aunt, you must think of a solution!"
Lorraine's expression turned impatient and annoyed at these words. "Naomi, in life and in actions, one must be clean. Once someone catches a handle on you, you deserve to be controlled. Do you not understand even this?"
"But Cynthia has no evidence," Naomi insisted.
At this, Lorraine's impatience and annoyance vanished, replaced by a hint of interest. "You say Cynthia has no evidence?"
