The people in the conference room instinctively turned their gaze towards the door. Lorraine had just entered with her male assistant and Naomi.
"I didn't expect so many people here," Lorraine's soft voice echoed. Her gaze swept over Tristan, feigning surprise. "Tristan, you're here too. What kind of incident could possibly make you come out of hiding? If word gets out, I wonder how much gossip it will stir."
Tristan remained indifferent and distant, retorting, "Just a trivial matter, worthy of your personal involvement?"
"Anything related to Miss Shannon can't be considered trivial," Lorraine said calmly, lowering her eyes to hide the coldness within. She sat gracefully on a nearby sofa and continued, "Miss Shannon is favored by the Elderly Madam, even inheriting the family's cherished jade bracelet. It's evident she's considered family. How can I sit back when a family member is in trouble?"
Upon hearing this, Cynthia slowly lifted her gaze, staring deeply at Lorraine.
