Rexana couldn't let her parents know that something had happened between her and Daerin. However, even so, Daerin didn't only take her virginity but also her heart and trust as well.
She just wanted to hide and ignore them but she could also see that her parents were affected by what happened to her. Her mom was even crying with her although she didn't have any idea what made her cry. They were always there for her, yet all she did was lie to them and not even give them the respect they needed, by pushing them out of her life.
Yes, it mostly felt that way for them. With her, not answer her parents when they asked them why she was crying and felt like she was pushing them out of her life. She needed them, especially this time and she couldn't deny it.
Rexana hugged her mom as if asking her to give her some comfort and Rita never hesitated to give it to her.
