Daerin's dad was on her way to Rexana. His eyes were focused on her and Rexana thought that he was really about to dance with her. 

However, dancing with Daerin's dad terrified her.  He had already scared her when he visited her house and offered her money. Before he left, he made sure to leave them a message that he would make Rexana's life hell.
