Chapter 47 The Bet of Love

The silence was broken by a knock on the door. Gu Yan glanced at her, got up, and opened the room door. Standing there was Shen Qifeng.

Still clad in his white coat, his expression carried a hint of concern. Seeing Gu Yan there, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes.

He nodded at Gu Yan and stepped forward to enter, but Gu Yan stood in the doorway, showing no intention of moving aside.

"Young Master Gu, please step aside."

With a lazy smile, Gu Yan said, "What are you here for? This ward isn't under Doctor Shen's jurisdiction, is it?"

Shen Qifeng detected the sarcasm in his tone and after a few seconds of silence, he said, "I'm here to see my girlfriend."

Those words seemed to drain all expression from Gu Yan's face, and a frosty chill seemed to seep from the depths of his eyes.

Girlfriend?

He turned to look at Su Ye, his gaze ice-cold.

What had he told her? Not to interact with Shen Qifeng, and he hadn't broken up with her yet.
