CHAPTER 5

"Omg girl is it me or did you walk in together with Jack Frost!! " Ella screeched immediately she was close to ayra . 

"Sshhh he might hear you Ella" Ayra muttered looking around their class.

"C'mon answer me am curious" Ella probed.

"Where were you all morning I was waiting for you in the hallway, you made me walk with Alice's nasty friends" she castigsted subtly trying to change the topic. 

"I'm sorry hon I was a little late today now back to you and jack what's going on? "she questioned smirking. 

Ayra looked horrified " gosh there is no us "she wishpered. 

"Then tell me you never walk with boys like ever. "

"There is a first time for everything my dear friend" ayra tried putting her hands on her shoulder but the death stare directed at her stilled her movement immediately. 

"Okay ok it's not a big deal we met each other in the hallway and I was heading to the toilet but I mistakenly ra- "

"That's enough chitchat guys get settled the quiz will commence shortly "their teacher Mr Brown said interrupting their discussion. Ella groaned in frustration while ayra secretly thanked mr brown in her heart she wasn't ready yet to confront what had transpired between her and jack. It was not a big deal right? Lies it was the biggest thing that has happened to her this month screw that this year.

"You will tell me immediately after the quiz" Ella commanded. 

Ayra nodded reluctantly before making her way towards her own chair closing her eyes she took a deep breath hoping she would remember everything she had read but when she opened her eyes jack 's form was towering over her. 

"Aghhhh "she shouted holding her chest. 

'What is it about me that always makes you frightened? " Jack questioned genuinely curious.

"Uhmm I wasn't expecting to see anyone that's it "she muttered lowering her eyes and wishing he wouldn't speak to her in front of the whole damn class, she could already feel multiple eyes on her. 

He didn't believe her alibi but he said instead "Anyways sorry I ruined your meditation just came to tell to you that you are gonna ace this quiz like you always do so relax " he said walking off to his chair without waiting for her reply. 

Ayra couldn't stop the warm feeling in her heart which was aroused by his words not could she stop herself from grining widely. 

His words were the kindest words anyone have ever said to her. Yeah she was brilliant everyone expected her to come out with flying colors but sometimes she got scared of failing and no one was ever there to reassure her. They all assumed she got it all together and coming out tops came naturally to her but it was a fallacy, sometimes she needed reassurance and a pat at the back.

Turning back from her chair she met Jack's gaze heads on and mouthed a big thank you he merely winked at her , turning around to face her front a ball of paper landed on top of her desk she unruffled it and it was a giant drawing of a heart knowing the culprit she faced Ella squearly and she gave her a cheeky smile. 

Obviously she has seen the interaction between her and jack a moment ago hmm "now I have more explanation to give " she muttered under her breath.
