A Butterfly.

More than an hour has already passed as Armand was standing in front of the mirror and trying to figure out which shirt to wear.

If Lina had agreed to rent one double room, this problem would not have bothered him. But the girl had her solid principles in this matter. And the maximum compromise that Armand achieved was that their rooms were next to each other.

Well, in any case, he was not alone in this situation. Nick also had his own room, this is understandable, but Daniel was clearly a little dissatisfied that Corey asked him to stay in the room next to hers where she stayed with Ashley.

Apparently, the girl was afraid that the lovefullness of this man could go beyond the limits of public frames and did not want to get into the delicate situation in front of her daughter.

Armand grinned, remembering Daniel's sullen face, but he knew his friend too well to think that such a situation could stop his heart heated in the flame of passion.

Having decided what to wear, the man sprayed a little cologne, straightened his hair and left the room.

With a bottle of wine and two glasses in his hands, Armand knocked on the door of the next room.

"Who's there?" Lina's voice was heard from behind the door.

"Room service, Madame."

"Room service?" Lina repeated to herself, straightened the towel on her head and pulled on a bathrobe. Her body still emanated heat after a hot shower just taken.

"But I didn't order anything," she opened the door, and when she saw Armand's stunning smile, she immediately slammed it back.

Bang!

The man was lucky that he did not take a step forward, otherwise this door would have hit his nose.

Lina pressed her back against the door, her heart was beating like crazy, for a long time she had not been so scared.

Knock-Knock.

"Lina, is everything all right?" Armand asked after knocking on the door, of all the options that he presented, he did not expect such a reaction.

"Yes, now. I just... I'm... I just got out of the shower, give me a second," the girl stammered out stumbling.

"Um, OK," Armand scratched his head in confusion, "Hmm, not that I was against it," he mumbled.

He remembered the girl's surprised face, which looked more like shock than embarrassment. For a second, it seemed to him that something was different in her, but he did not manage to understand what exactly.

Lina quickly rushed to the bathroom, found among her things a bracelet, which she removed very rarely and put it on her wrist.

Taking two deep breaths, she looked in the mirror. "Fuh, I hope he didn't have time to notice anything."

The girl returned to the door and opened it.

The light pink blush on her cheeks made Armand smile even more, "I thought you wanted to change clothes." The man looked at her from head to toe, Lina was wrapped in a bathrobe, her hair wrapped in a towel as before.

"Ah, yes, I got dressed," it completely flew out of her head that under her dressing gown, there was nothing except her underwear.

Armand's eyes flashed, "Mmm, does this mean that before that you were completely naked? Now I'm sorry that I did not have time to see anything." He put the wine and glasses on the coffee table and took a step toward Lina.

"What did you just sa-," the girl did not have time to resent the man's provocative comment, as his lips covered her mouth with passionate heat.

The towel slipped from her head, and her hair, black as a deep night, scattered in waves on her back.

Armand's kiss was sensual and long, making Lina forget about reality for a moment.

"Can we?" The man looked up from the lips of a breathless girl, his voice was low and a little hoarse. Lina's knees weakened, responding to an obvious desire in his tone, her body flushed with heat in response.

"If you don't want it, I will stop," Armand whispered and gently touched the girl's neck with his lips.

She was so absorbed in his attraction that she did not even hear the words of the man.

Accepting her silence as a sign of consent, Armand lifted the girl in his arms and carefully laid her on the bed.

Lina wrapped her arms around the man's neck, the heat and weight of his body cut off the last bits of her composure, she forgot that she wore the bracelet no more than ten minutes ago.

This time was not enough for it to work at full strength.

Armand's hand slipped down, the belt on the girl's waist loosened, and the man continued with his lips to her chest.

Lina closed her eyes and completely surrendered to his power when suddenly the man stopped.

She turned her head and saw how Armand froze, he was staring at the left side of her chest, as if he had been shocked.

Lina looked away and horror fettered her body. How could she be so carried away that she forgot about the most important thing?

But it was too late.

The man lowered his head when his palm felt something unusual on the girl's belly.

Her skin was soft, like velvet, but in one place there was a small round mark from the scar. As it happens when a bullet hits the body.

The man's eyes darkened for a moment, the images of a girl from a far past like a kaleidoscope surfaced in his head.

She died from a shot in the same place where Lina had a scar. But even if it was a coincidence, how could one explain the small birthmark on the girl's chest. The same as that of the one about whom he could not forget and whom he had been missing for many decades.

The birthmark in the shape of a butterfly.

Armand slowly crawled out of bed onto the floor and clutched his head, eerie memories of the past swept over him again, as if it had been yesterday.

"Sorry, something is wrong with me. Sorry, if I was too persistent, I... I need to be alone," the man got up and walked quickly to the door.

"Armand, wait!" Lina jumped out of bed and ran after him. She was afraid that if he now steps beyond the threshold of her room, this door will become an impenetrable wall between them.

"I need to tell you something!"

"Wh-what?" the man asked, as if in a trance. Even now, when he was looking at Lina, he again saw another girl in her image.

"Armand, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I love you very much, only I beg, forgive me," Lina said, sobbing. She knew that sooner or later, this moment should have come, but the fear of his conviction, that he would abandon her, had been her nightmare for many years.

Only now was she experiencing this nightmare in reality.

"Lina, I don't understand what you mean," the man whispered in response.

His intuition has already realized that something will happen now that can change his life in a drastic way. But when this began to happen right in front of his eyes, the mind refused to believe what it really was.

Lina let go of his hand, took a step back, closed her eyes, and removed the bracelet from her wrist.

The next second, her coal-black hair became brighter and brighter until it turned into white gold.

She raised her head, even the features of her face became slightly different.

The girl opened her eyes and looked at the man. A pair of light blue eyes, the color of a clear sky, complemented her image.

She looked like an angel who had just descended from heaven.

"No way... It-can't be," Armand staggered and slowly crawled down the door to the floor.

He could neither stand nor speak.

He could not believe that all this was for real.

In front of him was standing a girl whose image he pursued every night in his dreams, and which dissolved every time he opened his eyes.

In front of him, alive and so beautiful, she was standing.

His Polina.
