The broken temple

After getting the green light from the senior doctor, the three visited Orchid in his room. Before leaving, the doctor informed them that he seems to be stable based on his test results there was nothing to be alarmed by. The three were elated by the news, but the doctor did say that he hasn't shown much response since the day before.

Jake sulked, he stared at Orchid with pleading eyes hoping he would wake up. Jake reached for him and at that moment, he touched him.

They witness Orchid going through a seizure, and the doctor took charge, leaving a stunned Jake waiting behind them.

He started chanting immediately, his professionalism was highly commendable, and it seemed to have been 2nd nature to him at this point. He shouted for another of his junior colleagues, who rushed in an instant.

"I need help, mine's not enough." in agreement he canted the same spell.

"Why is he not stopping?" the fellow healer asked his senior.

Jake witnessed all of this realizing he had to do something,

"Can I do something?" Jake asked,

"Step away, what can you do?" the junior healer complained

"Don't worry Jake we can handle this." the senior healer followed.

Jake ignored both of them and infused his magic into their spell, the enchantment used changed from a green color to a bright blue color.

"HEY, what are you doing, stop that!" one of the healers raged.

But just as he was about to push Jake out of the way, Orchid stopped seizing with his eyes wide open, it was as if he had just woken up from a good night's sleep.

"Erm, where am I?" he said groggily

Everyone was stunned, they looked at Jake surprised.

"Racquel," he shouted for, as he laid eyes upon her, "why am I here?"

"Orchid, we are in a hospital."

"No shit, why are we here, and why did they attach these drips to me?"

"You haven't been well Orchid" she explained

"What? Don't we have to go to the festival? When did I get sick?"

"Doc can you detach these things from me?"

Jake stood there not sure what to do when Orchid was awake.

"Jake? What are you doing here?"

"Uh, I was just stopping by Orchid." Everyone's eye's darted towards him.

"Racquel, where are my parents? Do they know? You didn't tell them, right? They're gonna be worried if you did."

"Orchid.."

Everyone was stunned, none of them knew how to bring up the news.

"Orchid you don't remember what happened at the temple?"

"What do you mean doc?"Orchid asks the head healer

He started to get worried.

"What do you mean? What happened?"

After explaining everything to Orchid, he shot up from his bed, yanking the needles out from his wrists, and ran out of the room. Everyone tried to get him back but he somehow outran everyone, when he arrived at the site he fell to his knees. To his dismay, he saw rubles on the ground, the whole temple was damaged badly. The golden glow of the temple had been reduced to a huge mess. He raced inside to find huge stains of blood splattered everywhere.

His eyes widen, and he felt it all, pain, sadness, but most of all, there was anger, so much anger.
