Chapter 293: Suffering

"...She has her own lover?" Purple Summers murmured to herself.

Alexander Summers nodded gently, "And she has already registered to marry him abroad, keeping it a secret from everyone, not just making it public."

Purple was puzzled. Would Alexander allow his fiancée to marry someone else abroad?

Did he not care? ...Not even a little bit?

If so, then what he said must be true - that his relationship with his fiancée was merely a partnership.

Purple felt somewhat relieved.

Getting involved in a relationship had made her feel ashamed. If she were to hurt someone else's feelings, Purple would feel utterly cheap and degraded.

But if Alexander's fiancée was indeed already married, then she hadn't hurt anyone's emotions. She hadn't acted immorally and didn't need to feel guilty.

"Purple, is that why you were upset?" Alexander gently stroked her thick black hair, "Do you care if I'm with another woman?"
