NOTES: The story was written for the contest "THE 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT YOU",
announced by Down Hanna's Ally and The Writers' Game
Christmas was here, the first holiday they would share with friends and family in their new home.
The Christmas atmosphere could be felt everywhere: the streets of the center were lit with a thousand lights, the windows of the themed shops, the stalls and markets sold more and more original Christmas items and walking through those streets warmed the hearts of young and old.
Christmas at the Hudson-Berry house was a reason to get the whole bunch together, to sing wonderful songs and get carried away by the magic of the period.
What was there to expect from Rachel if not that she would show off her beautiful voice of hers?
She always found a reason to sing: she was born to shine and when you're in New York, it all takes on a different, almost dreamlike meaning.
Finn and Rachel had been working on Christmas-proofing their home for a week, so that night, after the final details, they collapsed in bed exhausted.
Everything had to be perfect to welcome their family who would certainly not be represented only by their parents but, the invitation had also been extended to the old and new Departments.
Family is the friends he chooses to have and time had given them the opportunity to grow attached and strengthen that bond that the Glee Club had created.
That morning Finn and Rachel were still in bed, each enjoying the company of the other, before they were attacked by the guests.
That was their time,
their first Christmas together.
Finn leaning on one elbow was admiring the beauty of his newly awakened wife, who exuded sweetness and purity.
He liked to watch her sleep, especially when her cheeks turn rosy or when in a dream, unknowingly, she pronounces her name: it was absolutely her favorite moment of hers.
A simple gesture that contained all the love she felt and that he, in turn, could not fail to reciprocate.
Every day for Finn getting up next to her was a miracle in itself, not everyone is lucky enough to have a special person with whom to share life in the present and in the years to come, until they grow old together.
Slowly he approached her face and with her hand touched her delicately, trying not to wake her: this was not difficult because she slept like a log with the face of an angel.
Rachel had never thought she would have a more perfect life than her, even though it was her beautiful husband who made it so. Finn was all she asked for: he completed her by making her happy, as she herself, often times, confided to him.
He had made her a star, not only in her career, always encouraging her but, above all, in her life, turning on that light that she kept hidden inside and that only he was able to discover.
The love they felt was indescribable,
it was not clear where the one began
and the other ended.
"Were you watching me sleep?" Rachel asked stupidly, her voice still sleepy.
"No. Maybe she said, smiling Finn, giving her a little kiss on her lips like every morning.
"And what was this for?" she asked surprised, already knowing the answer.
«Because I love you» in fact he replied, making her smile for that intimate and tender moment at the same time that he had been giving her for years now.
"You are my star, my reason for living," Rachel said blushing, moving closer and hugging him.
«I fell in love with you: for your beautiful voice, for your rosy cheeks when you say tender phrases just like now, for how you make me feel, why you color my life and why you make my days perfect. I love you because it's just you! " looking romantically into her eyes, Finn confided, making her blush even more.
«Happy first Christmas. I love you, "she whispered on her lips.
«Happy first Christmas. I love you baby "
Those words echoed in the air full of so much love and silent promises for the years to come, surrounded by that Christmas atmosphere that made everything more special and magical.

Hi gleeks, here I am again;)
This time I came with a Christmas story, even if short you understand how much they both love each other, it was sweet and tender to write these moments between them.
We saw a lot of episodes in Christmas Glee, but they weren't just focused on the characters and I did it with them instead. <3
For this story there are so many people to thank: I want and I have to thank first of all my cousin Vivana for being the first to read it and give me the advice the story needed, then I thank my sister for giving me so many ideas, without she the story would not have been born because ... well, just talking about something else gives me crazy ideas that I then can not help but put on paper. Finally, my thanks will go to you who hope you take some time to read it and if you want to let me know what you think, I care because Finchels are my OTP. <3
