Prologue
Have you ever felt that feeling when you started to like a guy? Well I did.
Have you ever felt a pang in your chest whenever he never looks your way? Well I did too.
I thought that it was just this simple admiration, but it turned out deeper than I thought after years passed by. Hindi ko naman kase aakalain na magiging iba ang tingin ko sa kanya. Kung hindi ko siya gusto, baka hanggang ngayon hindi parin kami naguusap.
I mean, he was every girl's dream guy! Of course everyone loved him! Walang ang may ayaw sa kanya. If there was, it would be just pure jealousy. He was as if the number one idol of the school too!
They loved him because of his looks and his brains. Well I loved him just the way he is, just the simple, old fashioned guy next door. Malapit lang ang mga bahay namin ngunit hindi parin niya ako pinapansin. Our parents were not close and mom and dad did not had time for cooking or baking something for neighbors.
If you would rather judge me, I was a total idiot for waiting him to notice me. I was so stupid at that time because I wanted everything to turn out what I expected it would be.
But I was wrong though. You can not teach a heart.
You can not force someone if they do not like you either.
But when everything was going perfectly fine, when everything was getting back together, and when I gave up on him, he finally began to notice me, to look at my way, to smile at my direction. Not like a small quill on his hand he would use to write for, Not a parachute to guide him when he falls when he's scared. Not a bookmark to hide inside his notebook.
But every-time I look into his eyes, I remembered the same old Catty that was head over heels with him, the perfect guy I have ever known.
But my youth? It started with this guy named Kayden Tantiangco.
