"Vira…" This was the third day his wife had ignored him.
Since the incident the other day, regarding the absurd wedding gift from his father—boxes of tonic eel extract, sexy underwear, transparent lingerie, swallow's nest extract, various kinds of oils, and strong men's herbs—Vira had become alert. She didn't want to let her guard down and give Vino a chance. What if all those strange potions made her husband lose control and run off with her in one bite?
Vino also couldn't force Vira, who kept locking herself in her room. He, too, had been busy with projects at the office.
"Vira, I left all the campus registration forms. You have to fill them out and send them. I put them on the table. Oh yeah... don't forget to eat your breakfast!" Even though he was busy, Vino continued to pay attention to his wife.
After there was no longer any sound of activity outside, Vira opened the pillows and blankets that had covered her body. She was now sleeping in the guest room, separated from her husband.
When Vino had gone to the office, she would come out of her room. She cleaned up the room, tidied up Vino's desk, arranged books and files. She did all her duties as a wife without Vino knowing.
After doing everything, Vira remembered the file on the table. She checked the contents, and sure enough, as expected.
She jumped happily because soon she would be a student. But her happy face turned flat as soon as she found the tuition payment receipt.
"He's paid it all!" she muttered, annoyed. The one thing on her mind now was how to break her agreement with her husband. "All this goodness must be exchanged for a baby!" she grumbled, glancing at her flat stomach. She bit her lip and let out a long sigh.
"I can't keep away like this. Surely one day... he will..." Vira shouted to herself, imagining Vino's perverted face approaching and fondling her body. She shook her head quickly. As Vino's palms reached the nape of her neck, her entire body shivered.
"Oh my God, I don't want to! I don't like it! I don't want it!!! His face is handsome, but his attitude is not boyfriend material. He doesn't say sweet words, treats women poorly, and only thinks about wealth and power!!!" Vira sneered with a face full of disgust.
"Who are you grumbling about?" Vino's voice startled Vira.
Vira frowned. She felt awkward and nervous knowing her husband was still home. He could've overheard her complaints, and the girl hesitantly smiled at him. She slowly turned her face.
"You... you haven't left yet?" Vira asked with a stiff smile.
"Here!!" Vira caught the paper bag that Vino threw at her.
"What is this?" she asked, surprised by the grocery bag, traumatic from seeing it again.
"It's from my assistant, Mr. Kim. He's a sane person. He must've gotten a good gift for you. I'm not working today, my head is a little dizzy. I'm going to rest and take some medicine." Vino showed her the bottle of medicine in his hand.
"Are you very sick? Why not see a doctor?" asked Vira anxiously.
"I don't know. My head hurts so much, and my body feels burning. I think I ate the wrong thing." Vino held his head and then laid down on the sofa.
"Wait! Did you eat jelly from the refrigerator?" Vira asked.
"Yes, it tasted good. Did you make it, or did the maid?" Vino asked with a heavy sigh.
"No, Vino, it's jelly from your father. I found one scattered and put it in the refrigerator."
"WHAT?!" Vino shouted in shock. But his strength was exhausted, and he could only sigh. "Tsk, I have to check the composition. Maybe he put poison in it."
Vino tried to get up, but he felt so weak that he sat back down, his body heavy.
Vira took the shopping bag from her hand and helped her husband sit on the sofa. "Your face is red, and…" She placed her hand on his forehead. "You're hot!" Vira whispered.
Vino blinked many times, his wife's face looked faint, and her voice was barely audible in his ear.
Down! The contents of the paper bag peeked, and Vira reached in, her finger lifting the mini clothes with a small rope, transparent netting material, and tiny panties that only covered the front. She immediately got goosebumps.
"Vino, you're crazy, this is just your trick!" Vira murmured coldly.
Vira's voice grew weaker in his ears. His face was bright red, his body burning hot, like a fire.
"Room, room, I'm going to my room," muttered Vino incoherently, not understanding what his wife said. He tried to get up from the sofa. "Put it on... just wear it..." Vino whispered.
"Never! Until I die, I don't want to wear clothes like this!" Vira shouted angrily, standing up.
Vino was surprised, watching Vira disappear from in front of him as he reached out for guidance.
His wife screamed as she slammed the door to the room, followed by stomping feet.
"How can that pervert!" she rambled, exasperated.
"He deliberately caught me off guard, then went home and pretended to be sick so I'd feel sorry for him!"
"He purposely gave weird gifts on behalf of someone else! He had it all planned—first his mother, then his father, then his assistant! It's all so absurd!"
"He's a man who cannot be trusted. He does dirty things to get what he wants!"
Vira paced back and forth in her room with an annoyed face.
"What else is he planning now!" she hissed, peeking through the door gap.
Brak!
Vino passed out!!
