Chapter 30 : School... Hell No. I Won’t Go There Again.

Yura was currently writing a letter with a serious expression on her face, sitting at the study desk at her table, carefully placing each word to ensure the elders in Kyoto would understand the letter clearly without any misunderstanding.

"This will do."

After writing the letter, Yura took it and read it one final time, nodding her head in approval.

She rolled it up, placed it inside a scroll lid, closed it tightly, crossed her fingers, and sealed it with her shinigami power.

Zeep~

With a single motion, she opened the purse attached to the leather belt on the side of her hips and took a shinigami paper between her fingers.

"Nene!"

She threw the shinigami paper in the air and called for her wolf shinigami.

Puff~

The paper turned into a big white wolf with a puff and looked at her obediently, waiting for orders.

"Nene, please deliver this message to the elder."

While stroking the head of the white wolf, Yura placed the scroll in the wolf's mouth, which it held tightly and carefully.

Puff~

With a nod, the wolf, in a puff of smoke, turned back into a shinigami paper and fell slowly to the ground.

Kyoto...

Onmyoji's base...

With a puff, the white wolf appeared before one of the elders who had previously spoken to Yura before she left for Ukiyo town for studies.

Puff~

When the smoke settled, the wolf dropped the scroll into the elder's hand and vanished from the place.

Seeing one of Yura's shinigami had arrived and dropped a scroll in his hand, the elder looked surprised and broke the seal on the scroll, which represented and served as proof that Yura was the one who wrote it.

After breaking the seal on the scroll's opening cap, the elder turned it upside down to retrieve the letter inside.

"____"

Reading Yura's letter made the elder's hands tremble, and his eyes widened in shock at the abundance of information in it.

She also mentioned the war spoilers, paintings, and statues she saw in the Continental Hotel.

Gulp~

Reading Yura's stories made the elder gulp in slight shock.

"It seems like this time we made a good decision before it's too late."

Murmuring to himself, the elder quickly called a servant and asked him to inform all the elders to assemble in the conference room to discuss something important.

After half an hour...

Onmyoji's conference hall...

All five elders were sitting in the conference hall with serious expressions on their faces, silently listening to the elder who had received the letter from Yura.

Sigh~

"So, it's true, huh..."

Not knowing how to react, one elder with a half-bald head and white hair named Terra looked at the rooftop, seemingly deep in thought.

"So, what is the reaction of the yokai in the hotel and their leader? How are they treating Yura?"

An elder lady named Chiyo asked, concern visible in her tone.

"Surprisingly, those yokai working there are not hostile to her."

With a smile, the elder who received Yura's letter shook his head.

He looked very slim, with many wrinkles on his face, indicating his old age.

His name was Hidemoto Keikain, the 27th head of the Keikain clan and Yura's grandfather.

"____"

Hearing that Yura was fine, Elder Chiyo's face relaxed.

After Yura's parents' death, she had partially taken care of Yura and her brother when they were young.

This time, they had sent Yura on her first long mission, which made her a little worried about her well-being.

Thinking Yura would be living alone among yokai made her worry for the little girl's safety.

The Hotel Continental...

Leo was looking at the system panel before his eyes.

[Mission triggered:

New task --> Get Onmyoji to join the Continental rank.

Status: Incomplete (Progress: 65%)

Mission reward: New world entry...

New task --> Save Hagoromo Gitsune from her fake son.

Status: Incomplete (Progress: 0%)

Mission reward: Access to Hell Gate... Electro template = +35]

'Well, it seems like I don't need to worry about Onmyoji.'

Leo was in a good mood seeing the system panel with a wide smile. Even before he could do anything, one of the tasks showed it was already 65% complete.

After dropping Yura at her assigned room, Nene came and informed him that she had shown Yura her room.

Nodding, Leo asked her to eagerly introduce all the facilities to Yura.

He already knew Yura would have informed Kyoto Onmyoji's base of her situation here, which must be the reason for the sudden increase in the completion rate just after the mission was triggered.

He was eager to see how much further he could increase the completion rate by relaying Yura's message to the Onmyoji base.

Nene stood patiently, waiting for Leo's next order as he was deep in thought.

"Nene, summon a suitable squad to go on an undercover mission to Kyoto to gather information regarding the supernatural situation."

After pausing for a few seconds, Leo gave his next order to Nene.

"Yes, my lord... Leave it to me. I will assign a suitable squad for this mission."

Nodding her head and with a slight bow, Nene left Leo's office.

After hearing Yura's previous complaint, Leo became curious to know the full extent of the situation there.

After arriving in this world, he was busy spreading his name on the supernatural side.

Now, after six years, he no longer needed to make decisions on everything.

He had assigned suitable candidates for various tasks, and only the important ones that needed his concern would come to his table.

In the meantime, Leo decided to do something to clear his boredom.

When he asked Mavis about it, she also wanted to tag along.

When he asked his close friends like Wakana, Enduro, Nurarihyon, and Rikuo, everyone gave suggestions.

Nurarihyon wanted Leo to join him in playing pranks in sweet shops or food shops without paying, which was his hobby whenever he felt bored.

Each one gave different ideas, none of which suited Leo's state.

When Rikuo suggested Leo could consider becoming a student, Leo immediately hit his head hard enough to make him faint.

"School... hell no. I won't go there again."

With black lines on his forehead, Leo refused immediately.

As they discussed, Wakana suggested that if he wasn't interested in being a student, he should consider becoming a teacher.

This made Leo pause, a glint passing through his eyes as a huge smile slowly appeared on his face.

'Damn... my head hurts... him as a teacher... If he becomes one, that school will go crazy.'

Cursing in his mind, Rikuo shook his head, immediately denying it.

Kyoto... Kyoto Yokai's base...

A woman with long black hair, pale white skin, and black eyes sat perpetually dressed in a black uniform, much like that of typical Japanese schoolgirls.

Hagoromo Gitsune, the leader of the Kyoto Yokai faction, which reigns over the northern territory, lay lazily on her circular bed, staring at the ceiling with cold, lifeless eyes.

She seemed to be in deep thought.

"My lady... The Keikain clan has sent one of their descendants to Ukiyo town in the name of studies. But I highly suspect they've gone there with ulterior motives, which is not good news for us."

An old man, thin with a hunched back, short stature, and bony fingers, spoke.

His head was bald, his beard and lips rugged around his nearly toothless grinning mouth.

With no eyebrows and large ears, his eyes were always closed and covered with vertical scars, while a large third eye with a red sclera sat on his looming forehead.

He often had an eagle on his shoulder.

This was Minagoroshi Jizo, one of the advisors of the Kyoto Yokai faction.

"Let it be... Let's see what they are up to."

Without any expression, Hagoromo Gitsune turned to the other side and spoke without emotion.

All her focus was on the task they were preparing for—giving birth to her son.

When she thought of her son, her lifeless eyes softened, and her lips curved slightly into a smile.

All these years, she had been waiting for the right moment to implement her plan.
