Vampire hearing was both a blessing and a curse. Antione and Margo had just listened to the entirety of Cora and Jared's phone conversation.

"They sound very close." Margo sighed.

"That is what I was telling you. They are a pair in some form or other regardless of what we would prefer. They actually remind me of us in our early friendship." Antione laughed. Margo sent him a sharp look.

"What? They do." He repeated.

"I don't like the fact that they are going away together this weekend. There will be no way to monitor his actions. Where are they going? I don't like it, Antione." Margo said frustration evident in her every movement and tone.

"I will talk to Jared when I go to feed. Maybe he will be more open about his plans to me than he was with Cora. I will also remind him to keep his hands to himself. He's an intelligent man, he'll do the smart thing." Antione assured Margo placatingly.
