"Is she your new daughter in law Iris?" A woman in a beautiful black dress asked and the lady nodded.
"Indeed Helen." The woman named Helen smiled at she looked at me. But I couldn't tell why her smile was creepy.
"Who's daughter is she. At least if you rejected my daughter she should be of a more higher family who can match ours." She asked.
"She's a Langford Helen." The woman called Helen stared at me suspiciously. Her eyes moving all around me rapidly before settling on my face.
"I know you as someone who doesn't lie Iris, there's no reason lying about who she is. It's okay if she's from a lower background, afterall she's going to be married to your son very soon." The woman laughed.
"Who said the lady is lying and how dare you speak to her in such tone?" Mother quickly defended and Helen stared down at her. Then mother's eyes turned wide.
