Despite how much I wanted to stay cooped up in my tiny apartment with Reiner, I knew that we had work to do. Fortunately, he was my boss at work, and we could spend time together even at work. “Natalia…” Reiner called my name.
I looked up from where I was sitting behind my desk to find Reiner standing right in front of me. It was clear from his stern face that he had something to say, and it probably wasn’t good news. I sucked in a breath and held it before smiling at him.
“Yes?” I said inquiringly.
“You have work at the bar tonight, right?” Reiner asked after a brief moment of hesitation.
