Chapter Five

After a long day of singing and dancing, it was finally 12 AM. The animatronics put down their instruments and got off the stage, splitting off to do their own things.

Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie weren't hanging out together this time. Toy Bonnie was with Cotton, and Toy Freddy was with Winter. Toy Chica smiled knowingly. (They can smile too. Story purposes. Easier for them to have human behaviors.)

Toy Chica suddenly remembered the day that Fredbear and Springtrap had attacked. That morning, Bonnie had pulled her aside to talk to her about something. "Bonnie," she said, waving him over.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Remember our last day at the pizzeria?"

"Vividly," he said dryly.

"What was it you were going to ask me?" Was it just her, or was Bonnie blushing this time?

"Oh, um…" he sighed. "Let's go into one of the empty party rooms." Toy Chica obeyed, following him down the hallway and into one of the many empty party rooms. He took a deep breath. "Alright. Here goes." He looked into her eyes. "I- I really like you, Toy Chica. I've liked you ever since I was moved here with my friends. And the feeling has only grown ever since you saved my life. You're so brave, and strong, and beautiful…." he trailed off, blushing and looking down.

"I've liked you too," Toy Chica admitted. "Ever since I saw you walk through the door into our old pizzeria. I just didn't have the courage to talk to you before your guitar broke."

"Really?" Bonnie asked, looking up.

"Really." They hugged. It was a nice hug, Toy Chica enfolded in the strong arms of Bonnie. She sighed contentedly.

"Oooooooooh!" Said a voice from the doorway. "Confessions!" They broke apart, Toy Chica whirling about.

"Mangle!" She complained. "You followed us!"

"Uh, yeah!" She said. "My best friend was going somewhere with the guy of her dreams. I couldn't resist!" Bonnie sighed. "Also," Mangle continued. "Winter wants to speak with you two."

"You could have just said that," Bonnie said. "Instead of watching us have a private moment."

"Don't shoot the messenger," Mangle said jokingly.

"Alright," Toy Chica said. "We might as well go see what Winter wants." Bonnie took her hand in his. They looked at each other for a few moments, blushing, before leaving the room. Winter was waiting for them outside Party Room Number One.

"There you two are," she said, noting their closeness. "Someone has booked a birthday party tomorrow, and they've requested a couple of animatronics to perform for the children." Toy Chica nodded. "You'll sing all the normal songs, but at 3 PM, you're supposed to bring out cake and sing happy birthday. One of the perks is you get to move about inside the room, but don't leave. You may speak only a few phrases, only if necessary." She continued to explain the rules for the party, explaining everything in great detail. "It's extremely important you don't reveal yourselves, or get us sued."

"What instruments should we play? Toy Chica asked.

"You're normal ones are fine," Winter replied, "You know the main vocal parts?"

"Yeah," said Bonnie. "You taught all of us in case you or Cotton are powered down, remember?"

"Right," Winter said. "Anyways, you two are free to set up the room as you wish. Good luck." With that, she quickly left.

"Let's get started, shall we?" Toy Chica asked, entering the room. Tables were folded and put away against the left wall, chairs on the right.

"Yep," Bonnie said, pulling out a table. They worked for a while, preparing the room. They pulled out two long tables, placed side by side but with plenty of room to walk in between. Table settings were placed, and a smaller table next to the door for presents. There was a large space against the wall directly across from the entrance for Bonnie and a Toy Chica, and a small table was placed in front of it. They would place the cake there when it was time.

The cake was in a side room. Toy Chica would go to get it when the time came. She would place it on the table, and they would sing happy birthday to the lucky child. Afterwards they would continue performing while the child opened their presents. "I think we're ready," Toy Chica said, checking the clock. 5:55 AM. "We need to grab our instruments and get back in here." Bonnie nodded, and they ran out, quickly grabbed their instruments, and ran back in.

"Ready?" Bonnie asked as they got into place.

"Yep," Toy Chica replied, posing in her deactivated form. Bonnie did the same, waiting for the party to start.

..........

Bonnie and Toy Chica performed fantastically. Bonnie smiles inwardly as he watched Toy Chica dance and sing. He nearly faltered in his guitar, but was able to continue as a group of children approached, drinking from cups of water. They approached Toy Chica, one of them giggling.

Then, all at once, they reached up and dumped the water inside Toy Chica's metal casing, the water going into her circuitry. She began jerking about, her voice malfunctioning. Small sparks flickered. It was all Bonnie could do to keep himself from rushing to her as she tumbled backward, smashing into the floor. She deactivated, for real this time.

The adults looked at Toy Chica worriedly, ushering the children out of the room. As soon as they were gone, the door shutting behind them, Bonnie dropped his guitar and knelt beside her. "Toy Chica?" He shook her gently. She didn't move. 'What am I gonna do, what am I gonna do?' He panicked inside his head. 'Ugh… Puppet I need you…'

'What's up?' said a familiar voice inside his head.

'Puppet?!' Bunny thought-exclaimed. (It's hard to do talking inside someone's head… bear with me) 'How… what?'

'Not now. What's wrong?'

'A group of kids dumped water inside Toy Chica. She short circuited, and now I can't wake her up.' Even inside his head his voice sounded worried. 'But you can't come in here and I can't take her out while the restaurant is open.'

'Leave it to me. I'll send Toy Bonnie when it's time. Now stay in there. No one should go back there.'

'Thanks.' Puppet broke the connection. Bonnie propped Toy Chica up against a wall, then sat beside her, pulling his knees to his chest. He rested his arm across them, sighing. He heard shouting from outside, then the front door opening and closing. Then silence. Toy Bonnie poked his head in the room.

"The pizzeria is clear. Puppet posed as an employee and had everybody leave. Something about other animatronics may be malfunctioning as well? I don't know. But you can bring her out now." Bonnie nodded, and Toy Bonnie left.

Bonnie picked up Toy Chica, slipping one arm under her knees and the other on her upper back. He carefully carried her out, watching her worriedly. She still didn't move. "Put her on the table," Puppet said, indicating the closest one. Winter and Toy Freddy were standing near the entrance, watching for anyone who might come close. They needed to be extra careful, it was only 5:30 PM. Toy Bonnie, Cotton, Freddy, and Chica were cleaning up. Foxy was with Mangle, who sat at the table where Toy Chica lay, face up.

"Will she be alright?" Bonnie asked, sitting in a chair so he was near her head.

"She's strong," Mangle said. "I'm sure she'll be fine." Bonnie could pick out the worry in her voice. Puppet raised his hand over Toy Chica, closing his eyes. Water flowed out of Toy Chica through her joints, collecting in the air above Puppet's head. Puppet was whispering softly. Bonnie could only pick out a few words.

"... water out… systems… repower main… and vocal…" Toy Chica began jerking painfully, small flashes going off inside her metal plating.

"Stop it!" Bonnie exclaimed. "You're hurting her!" He stood up, but Foxy grabbed him, holding him back.

"Bonnie, sit down," he said. "She's gonna be fine."

"But he's-"

"Puppet knows what he's doing," Foxy said, pushing Bonnie back into his seat. "Trust him." Bonnie slumped in his seat, defeated. He watched Toy Chica jerk about on the table helplessly. Finally, she stopped moving. Puppet lowered his hands.

"I've done what I can," he said. "She won't wake up for a few hours, though. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to sleep." He floated off to his box, exhausted. Bonnie sat by her side, watching her. He would wait.
