"Fine!!!" Rudra sighed in defeat. He just couldn't stand those clear and confidant eyes of hers. Wasn't that what they wanted. For her to grow and not always depend on others for her safety. Yes, they were there with her but she also needed to be strong to protect herself so that incidents like that one won't happen again. For her to face the cruel world by herself while they will be behind her to catch her when she fell and protect her when she needed.
"You can join in but you will tell me everything before you do anything so that we can be ready to catch you if you fall. And I won't accept a bargain this" Rudra folded his hands in front of his chests as he looked at Anaya, determined.
Anaya smiled with her eyes and extended her hands to shake them with his. "Deal".
Rudra eased up more as he saw that confident look on Anaya's face.
After everything was decided Rudra and Anaya went back to their apartment.
After they left, Dheer took a deep sigh. He hated to admit but he admired their bond. How one minute Rudra was against it but the next minute he agreed because he trusted her capabilities. And there must be a reason why he had opposed so strongly at first. Or else he would not have refused her and got so stressed out as soon as he heard her plan. It was as if it was his instinctive reaction to protect her. He was getting more and more curious about her past now.
Of course, he was worried about her too but he trusted her that she can do it. And if anyhow it goes wrong then it was the same as what Rudra said, He would protect her.
He took a deep breath to calm himself a little and called his assistant. "Any news?" He asked as soon as the call was connected.
"Not yet sir. We are still trying to trace back the money in Dr. Veer's account but that person is very careful. Even the intelligence and our other connections failed to trace it back."
"Either he's too cautious or using some other way to transfer money. Find out if Dr. Veer took some sudden days off or vacations from the hospital in the past year and if he did, find out his schedule of the days he took them."
"Noted, sir".
"And Call some trusted higher-ups in the medical council and..." Dheer gave him another task.
After listening to the task, he hesitated but still muttered "But sir... It can ruin madam's..." he dared not say the next word.
"Don't worry about it. I won't let anything happen to her. You just do as I say and I'll take care of the rest. And besides, I don't even think I need to do anything. With her personality and character, people will speak for her." He smiled. "But still if anything goes South I'm always there for her" Dheer said sternly with a dominant aura.
"Noted. Anything else sir?" he asked politely, feeling reassured that nothing will happen to his lady boss.
"And one more thing" Dheer pinched the space between his eyebrows and continued "Call Arav, and Hire some more of his top trusted bodyguards and ask them to protect Rudra alongside Anaya. Make sure he doesn't know of their existence. " saying this he cut the call.
He may be jealous of Rudra but he can't let him be in danger knowing they were playing with fire. Besides he knew how important Rudra was to Anaya. He can't let her be sad if anything happens to him.
He sighed after taking the first step of their plan and went to get some sleep to calm his turmoiled mind.
The next day there were words in the hospital that Anaya and Rudra had connections with some very powerful people in the country and that they were keeping it low. Rumors of them being disciplined for illegal organ transplantation to save their patients at the beginning of the career started circulating in the hospital.
"Hey, did you hear the rumors? They said Dr. Anaya and Dr. Rudra have connections with some very powerful people and if not for them, they both might have got their medical license revoked already."
" Yeah. Me too.. But they also said that it was to save a desperate patient and there were no casualties".
"What are you saying. Every patient is desperate who comes to the hospital. It doesn't mean that you start doing illegal things to save them. And who knows if it was to save the patient or for the money. Whatever the reason their connections will surely cover up their ill intentions."
"But I can't believe Dr. Anaya can have I'll intentions. Yes, she may be strict but she's a very nice person. It must have been to save the patient".
"Whatever the intention but it's still shocking and we can't deny that she did help in an illegal organ transplant."
A group of nurses was talking inside a certain ward.
It was the same everywhere in the hospital. Whenever they had some time, doctors, nurses, and other staff of the hospital would start talking about this new piece of spicy gossip that they came to know.
I'm so sorry but I don't think I will be able to update regularly given my busy yet not busy schedule. But I will try my best to be regular. I will surely finish this book. Thank you all for still reading this book and supporting me❤❤
