SERINE'S POV
With no other option, Serine ran. Her ankle flared in pain with every step from falling badly when the Hunter had dropped her, but she kept going. She darted down alleys, through streets, and tried to blend in with the few Mundanes still racing to safety. Everywhere she turned, more Hunters were looking around as they communicated on their phones, no doubt getting her description spread to them. She ducked as a pair glanced in her direction and slipped to the ground as her ankle rolled.
Serine bit back a gasp and squeezed her eyes shut against the pain. She straightened the leg and tried to put some weight on it. She breathed a sigh of relief as the limb held her weight with only a little shaking.
