Chapter 1: Betrothed?

Location: Schnee Manor

Continent: Solitas- Kingdom of Atlas

It was a normal day within the Schnee manor as a young Weiss Schnee was seen walking through the halls of her family's Manor. This young girl was seen to be smiling as she made her way towards the front gardens of their home. Why was this? The reason was rather simple: Her childhood best friend was coming over today! Weiss was only 8 years old at the time, but she was still a very happy young child.

As she made her way towards the front of her family's home, her Grandfather, Nicolas Schnee II greeted her. He smiled taking in the sight of his precious granddaughter.

"Grandfather! Are they here yet?,"Weiss asked excitedly.

Nicolas laughed, picking up his granddaughter and winging her around.

"They're nearly here, Weiss. You're certianly excited to see them around you?,"He asked.

Author's note: Weiss has on the same outfit as she does in the first episode of volume 1 of Rwby, just a little smaller and with a small white coat. This is just for reference.

An older girl with Silver hair, blue eyes and wearing the outfit of Atlas Academy walked into the room. She wore a blue vest, with a matching shirt, a dark blue skirt, gray knee high stockings, black boots, and a dark blue jacket. This was Weiss's older sister, Winter Schnee. She sighed.

"You really are excited to see them, aren't you Weiss?,"Winter asked with a slight chuckle.

Weiss smiled at her older sister.

"Of course I am! Sarai and Khanna are my best friends!"Weiss beamed.

Winter slyly smiled at her sister.

"Oh? What about Sarai's brother... Odyn was it? What about him?,"Winter asked.

Weiss just fiddled with her fingers and looked down as she smiled embarrassed.

"uhh.. h-him t-too.. I suppose. Odyn's nice too..,"Weiss said looking down.

Nicolas II chuckled as he looked to both of his granddaughters.

"Come now, Winter. You mustn't embarrass your sister like that. That young boy is a very kind young elf. I'm glad your sister gets along so well with him.,"Nicolas said.

Winter just sighed with a smile and looked away.

"As you wish, Grandfather.,"Winter replied.

He looked towards Winter with a smile.

"Incidentally, Winter... Are your mother and father around? I'd like for them to be here when our guests arrive.,"He asked.

Winter bowed her head slightly, as a sign of respect for the family patriarch.

"Yes, they should be nearby. I can go fetch them if you wish, Grandfather.,"Winter replied.

He smiled.

"Ah, no need to do so. We can do that together.,"Nicolas said.

As the trio of Schnee's walked towards the manor's main entrance, their guests had arrived. Weiss beamed happily as she saw her best friends: Khanna and Sarai, along with Odyn and their parents. Four adults walked alongside the three dark elf children. The first one had cerulean blue hair and a matching beard. He was dressed like a noble with a dark blue buttoned up shirt, a golden sash diagnally across the chest, a flowing crimson cape with white trimmings, black pants, a brown belt, white gloves on his hands, green boots, and a golden tiara upon his head. The man was dark skinned with flaming orange eyes, with pointed and slightly elongated ears, and a very kind look on his face. This was the leader of the Albanar Tribe, who resided within the noble district of Atlas, Berethon Albanar.

Next to him was his wife, a beautiful tanned skinned woman with pointed ears, flamming eyes, and long lavender colored hair. She wore a purple shirt with a crimson sash draped across her royal midnight black robe like jacket, she had a matching skirt that went to below her knees, purple socks, black heeled shoes, a purple cape with gold trimmings, and a silver tiara on her head to finish off the look. This was Hyatan Albanar, the queen, or Duchess as they called her of the Albanar district. Next to her was a knight, similar in appearance to her with silver armor and a blue cape. The knight had purple hair with black highlights, the same flaming orange eyes, and the pointed and elongated ears. This was Lylah, the sister of Hyatan, also known as the strongest female soldier within the Kingdom of Atlas at the moment. The final member looked a little out of place, given his attire. It was a cream skinned man with spiky black hair, red eyes, and had a small bit of black stubble growing onto the lower half of his face around his mouth. He wore a simple white jacket, with a long red scarf, a torn crimson cape, gray pants, a brown belt, a small black necklace to finish off the look. This was the infamous Huntsman from Vale, Qrow Branwen. What was he doing here, you ask? The answer to that would in fact, shock most people. There was a reason he was here with not only, the leaders of the Albanar District, but was next to the one woman known as "The Silver Lioness" among those in Atlas. Qrow had a certain secret, you see: however, that is a story for later on...

Weiss immediately ran up to and hugged Sarai with Khanna trailing behind her.

"Khanna, Sarai!," Weiss cried out in glee upon seeing her two best friends.

The purple haired dark elf smiled at Weiss.

"Ah, Weiss! It's good to see you again!,"Khanna said as she greeted the younger girl.

Khanna and Weiss were separated by about a year in age, while Sarai was 2 years younger than her at 6. Weiss noticed Odyn hadn't come over with them and it confused her. She looked towards Khanna for an explanation.

"Um... is there a reason Odyn hasn't come over yet?," She asked curious.

Sarai spoke to explain that predicament.

"Oh, Nii San said he has to stay with momma and papa for a little bit. There's uh.. something important that they need him in the discussions with your grampa and parents for?,"Sarai explained still confused about the whole thing.

Weiss was a little upset by this.

"Oh... I-Is that so?,"Weiss answered a little disappointed.

Khanna spoke as she could tell that Weiss was more than a little disappointed in the fact that Odyn couldn't play with them for a little while.

"Not to worry, Weiss. I'm sure Odyn will be able to come and play with us before too long. Come on, let's go so the grownups can take care of their business!,"Khanna laughed as she grabbed the wrist of the young Schnee heiress.

This caused Weiss to smile and laugh as she ran off with her two friends. This wasn't before she was seen waving to Odyn, the dark elf smiling and mirroring the action. Once the girls had ran off, Odyn sighed. This was before Qrow patted the young boy on the back.

"Cheer up squirt, you'll get to join them before too long.,"Qrow encourage the boy.

Odyn smiled at the man.

"Thanks Unc- I mean... Mr. Branwen...,"Odyn answered.

Qrow looked around frantically before putting a finger to his mouth.

"Careful, squirt.. Can't have anyone here finding that out. It... wouldn't look good and would be a giant hassle to deal with.,"Qrow kindly warned.

Odyn laughed nervously as he had to remember to keep that detail a secret.

"Yeah, heh heh heh sorry... I'll try and keep quiet about it.,"Odyn said apologetically.

The four adults with Odyn in tow were then greeted by Nicolas II, Willow, Winter, and Jacques Schnee.

"Lord Berethon and Duchess Hyatan Albanar, your presence honors us. If you will follow us, we can discuss more important matters in the study.,"Nicolas said.

"Thank you, Sir Nicolas. It would be an honor.,"Berethon replied.

The group then began to walk off towards the study with Odyn sticking close to Qrow and Lylah. Odyn had an idea of why he was asked to stay with the group of adults, but he wasn't clear on the exact reason. All the boy knew was that his parents had told him he was an important part of the negotiations in the meeting with the Schnee Family. He did have an inkling that Winter, Qrow, and his Aunt Lylah knew why he was being brought into the meeting between the two families. Odyn could ask them, but.. he had feeling that they wouldn't really be able to tell him anything he didn't already know. The young dark elven heir just followed the group of adults into the Schnee Family Study within the Manor.

Jacques simply looked with silent disdain towards the boy, something that Lylah took immediate notice of. Once they all sat down on a pair of couches opposite of each other, she decided to address that issue.

"Before we begin, Sir Nicolas... There's an issue that I feel needs to be addressed involving your son in law over there.,"She said silently glaring towards Jacques.

Nicolas noticed the glare Jacques had on his face and sighed. His son in law had always been a trouble maker in negotiations with potential business partners of theirs for the simple reason that most were either of Faunus lineage or in this case dark elven lineage. He had hoped Jacques would've changed after the near disaster the last time they made a deal with a business partner. He had kept Jacques out of negotiations as a result of that attitude of his. He allowed him to come this time, because it involved their family and one of the man's daughters.

"Of course, go ahead."Nicolas said with an exasperated sigh.

Lylah nodded and stood to her feet before glaring at Jacques.

"Is there a problem, mr Jacques?,"She asked scowling at the man.

He scoffed as he looked in the direction of Odyn.

"It's nothing, really... But, does that boy have to be here? That filthy forsaken child has no business being amongst adult discussions!,"Jacques said only to nearly have his head chopped off by Lylah drawing her sword towards him.

The blade was centimeters from his own neck as Lylah glared dangerously at the man for insulting her nephew.

"I suggest you watch what you say, human! Or next time... I may not be so merciful. That boy you insulted just so happens to be my nephew and the eldest son of Lord Berethon and Lady Hyatan,here! So.. I suggest you behave before I do something I would rather not, filth!,"Lylah said glaring dangerously at Jacques.

Jacques was about to argue back, but began to sweat fearfully due to the aura of a lioness appearing behind the dark elf. He knew then that he had better stay quiet lest he incur the wrath of the Atlas General known as the "Silver Lioness".

Nicolas sighed in slight annoyance at the problematic attitude of Jacques towards others he deemed as 'inferior' to not just him, but to humans in general. He really didn't need to deal with Jacque's superiority complex right now, he turned to the man and spoke. Nicolas knew inviting Jacque into these negotiations was a mistake.

"Jacque... I'm sorry if I took you away from your work. Why don't you go check up on your workers now. I will call you when we have need for you again.,"Nicolas suggested.

He was about to argue when Nicolas sent him a stern look.

"Jacque.. Do not make me repeat myself. Are we clear?,"Nicolas said sternly.

Backed into a situation he could not win, Jacque relented. He knew better than to argue with the family Patriarch.

"As.. you wish, sir.," Jacque replied before exiting the study and returning to where he worked previously.

Willow bowed her head in apology.

"I apologize for the attitude and actions of my husband! He... did not used to be this way.," Willow said bowing her head in apology.

Willow was a beautiful woman herself. She had porcelain skin with deep icy blue eyes, silver hair that was braided into a pony tail as it rested on her shoulder. Willow also wore white sleeves, had a white dress collar with a matching cloth, a blue buttoned up shirt that went with a dark blue dress which went down to her knees, gray stockings, and black heeled shoes.

Hyatan smiled at the woman before telling her sister to sit down, now that Jacque had left the room.

"It's.. quite alright. Thank you for being willing to apologize for that rude behavior towards my son. We do not fault you in any way, Willow. Also... Lylah, you can have a seat now.,"Hyatan said.

Lylah cleared her throat and did as instructed.

"Ahem! Y-Yes of course, Your Grace...,"Lylah said before having a seat back onto the opposite couch.

Willow bowed her head as she smiled and breathed a sigh of relief.

Berethon then spoke.

"Now then... Sir Nicolas about the agreement we spoke at length on concerning our two communities...,"Berethon began.

Nicolas seemed to gain a look of recognition on his face as he smiled.

"Ah, yes! Of course! As I recall correctly, you said it could benefit both your community and our company?,"Nicolas Replied. "I would very much like to know the specifics of this. What can you offer that would be of benefit to the Schnee Dust Company?"

Berethon smiled as he answered Nicolas's question.

"I'm glad you asked that sir. What we can offer you is technology and knowledge.,"He answered.

"Technology and Knowledge you say? Interesting.. But what technology can you offer that Atlas doesn't have already?"Nicolas asked.

"This is technology that no one has ever seen before. While we can't disclose all of this technology, we can at least give you the basics of it. The second thing we can offer you is the knowledge of trade routes and vendors not previously known. If you form a partnership with our district, we dark elves can ensure your dust crystals are sold throughout the whole of Remnant far quicker than it would be otherwise.,"Hyatan said.

"You have my attention now. I would like to know more about this.,"He replied.

"If say, Faunus were able to have access to Dust crystals, weapons, machinery, and other necessities such as transportation and the like: Your company's profits would skyrocket instantly.,"Berethon said.

"I see.. Well then, sir Berethon I assume you have some kind of condition for this deal to become official?,"Nicolas asked.

Berethon nodded as Odyn stepped forward and stood by his father's side.

"Just one. And it is to strengthen our ties not just as business partners, but also as one friend to another. And for our children's happiness."Berethon explained.

Nicolas smiled, having an idea of what the condition was. At least, he thought he knew.

"It is quite obvious that your granddaughter, Weiss and our youngest daughter Sarai get along quite well. They've become fast friends.,"Berethon continued.

Nicolas nodded seeing the logic in the observation.

"Yes. It is a joy to see those girls together. It gives me hope that some day humans and elf kind can see each other as equals.,"Nicolas said.

"I agree. Our daughter has... told us on more than one occassion how happy it would make her if herself and Weiss were to become sisters.,"Hyatan added.

Even Winter and Willow smiled at that thought.

"That.. certainly is a rather pleasant thought.," Winter said smiling.

Willow also smiled.

"Yes, I also agree. Weiss has always wanted a younger sister closer to her own age and those two are only 2 years apart."Willow said.

Berethon and Hyatan smiled at this. It seemed they all agreed.

"Then how about we give those girls that chance? A chance to truly become sisters like they've always wanted.,"Berethon said.

The Schnee's were confused aas to what Berethon was eluding to.

"I do hope that I am not being to forward about this but... Sir Berethon and Lady Hyatan, what are the two of you getting at?"Willow asked.

"A proposal.,"Hyatan answered.

Winter raised an eyebrow before she asked the question that was upon all of the Schnee's minds.

"Forgive me, milady but.. what sort of proposal do you mean?,"Winter asked.

Nicolas then spoke, voicing his own curiosity.

"Yes, what sort of proposal do you have in mind? I assume whatever the proposal is involves your son here in some way?"Nicolas asked.

Berethon nodded.

"And... it also involves your granddaughter, Weiss, as well.,"Hyatan replied.

They were confused at first until Willow realized what their guests were suggesting.

"Wait... surely you don't mean..,"Willow started before Berethon finished the thought with an answer.

"A marriage between Odyn and Weiss once they become of age? Of course that's what we're suggesting. But... only if both sides agree to it.,"Berethon said before looking to his eldest son. "Well, son? How do you feel about that?,"

The young dark elf was a little unsure at first, based on his confused look. But after thinking on it for a moment, he seemingly came to a decision.

"If it will make my sister happy, then.. I suppose it wouldn't be all that bad. And... uh.. I-I suppose it wouldn't be such a bad thing to be like you and mother are with weiss.,"Odyn said.

Nicolas smiled and chuckled, he was very pleasantly surprised by his friend's offer.

"Ha ha ha ha, color me impressed my friend! I think you've managed to surprise me yet again.,"Nicolas laughed. "You have yourself a deal my friend!"

Willow smiled, while Winter sighed and just lightly chuckled. Oum knows how Weiss would actually respond to this news.

Berethon looked towards Odyn and smiled at him.

"Thank you for your position on this, my son. You can run along and find Weiss and your sister now.,"Berethon said.

Odyn smiled, bowed, and thanked his parents.

"Of course. Thank you, Father, Mother, Aunt Lylah, Mr Branwen, and all of you as well.,"He said before rushing out of the room.

The adults and Winter just chuckled. He may have been the heir to the Albanar Family, but Odyn was still just a young boy at heart. They would let him stay a child for at least a little while longer.

"Winter, can you make sure young Odyn finds Weiss, Sarai, and Khanna? We don't want him getting lost or even.. running into THAT fool of a father of yours.,"Nicolas said.

Winter smiled and slightly bowed as she walked out to find Odyn and ensure he made it to his destination.

"Now then, let us discuss the specifics if you will..."Nicolas said as the camera faded away from the study.

Time skip: An hour later with the girls...

The trio of girls sat in some chairs out in the small gazebo. The gazebo was in the midst of the Schnee Manor's Garden. Weiss was seen to be looking towards the Family Manor off and on as the girls drank their tea. Khanna gained a sly smirk as she spoke.

"Thinking about my cousin again, Weiss?,"Khanna asked.

Weiss's eyes widened as she had a small tinge of pink on her cheeks.

"N-No of course not! I was.. just wondering what was taking him so long.... It's.. been a long time since he came over, that's all. When I see him, it's usually at your place.,"Weiss said twiddling her thumbs.

Khanna had a smug look on her face while Sarai was confused.

"It's alright Weiss... I get it, Odyn's been your friend for the longest. You've been friends with him ever since you were toddlers, right?,"Khanna asked.

Weiss nodded but then spoke.

"B-but you and Sarai are my best friends too you know!,"Weiss said.

Sarai then spoke and said something neither Khanna nor Weiss were expecting her to.

"Are you sad because you like Nii san, Weiss?,"Sarai asked.

Weiss's eyes widened again and she was seen covering her face in embarrassment while Khanna was doubled over in laughter.

"Wha- w-w-w-w-wa-what?! No no no no no no no no no! M-Me l-like Odyn?! I-I d-don't like him like that! I uh.. j-just think he's really nice is all! Y-Yeah that's it! *nervous laughter*,"Weiss said embarrassed and blushing furiously.

Sarai tilted her head in confusion at Weiss's answer.

"Then why is your face red, Weiss? Is it because of Nii San?,"Sarai asked still confused.

Khanna finally got over her laughing fit as she patted the top of Sarai's head after seeing Weiss unable to answer the young dark elf girl's question.

"Alright Sarai, I think Weiss has been teased enough. We'll just have to find out her answer to your question a little bit later, okay?,"Khanna said.

Sarai nodded, but she still wanted to know the answer to her question in her mind. Maybe she would know later, like Khanna said.. It was then, that a familiar voice called out, surprising them.

"Hey you guys! Sorry for taking so long!,"the voice revealed to be odyn said as he came over to them.

"O-Odyn?!,"Weiss said surprised as she briefly looked away with a red face.

She fixed her hair and smiled at him.

"It took you long enough...,"She said slightly pouting.

Odyn raised his hands in apology as he grinned embarrassed.

"H-Hey I said I was sorry! Please don't be mad , Weiss... ,"Odyn said to her.

Weiss smiled at him. No matter how hard she tried to, she just couldn't stay mad at her childhood best friend.

"Okay, but.... you have to catch me first! You're it, Odyn!,"Weiss said giggling as she ran away from him.

"Hey.. not fair Weiss. Wait up!,"Odyn said running after her.

"I told you, have catch me first!,"Weiss said running away.

"Get back here!,"He said laughing and chasing after the young heiress.

Winter, who brought Odyn to where the girls were smiled at the scene between Odyn and her younger sister. Khanna spotted the teenager and smiled at her. Herself and Sarai went up to greet the elder Schnee daughter. Winter smiled at the two dark elven girls before taking their hands and walking in the direction her sister and odyn chased each other.

With Weiss and Odyn...

The two children played tag with each other and chased each other around the perimeter of the Schnee Family Manor for most of the afternoon. Then when they were all tired out from running, they laid on the grass just outside of the main door to the manor. Odyn sat up with a rather serious expression as he talked to his friend since he was a toddler.

"Never thought I'd be outrun by you, Weiss... that's a first.,"He said.

Weiss smiled as she laid down on the grassy hill just in the distance from the family manor.

"There's a first time for everything, Odyn.,"Weiss said.

There was then a silent pause, which concerned Weiss. Her friend wasn't one to really be quiet.

"Odyn?"Weiss asked.

Odyn then asked her something as he had a rather serious expression on his face.

"Say Weiss... we're best friends.. right?,"He asked.

Weiss raised a curious eyebrow as she immediately sat up and looked at him.

"Of course we are! What are you talking about?,"She asked curiously.

"Well... what if... and this is just hypothetical: What if something happened and we couldn't see each other for a long time. Would you still.. remember me as your friend?,"Odyn asked.

Weiss was a little confused about this and answered just matter of factly.

"Huh? What are you talking about Odyn? Of course I'd remember you! You're the only one who calls me "princess", I'd never forget that."Weiss answered.

Odyn nodded and had a light tinge of pink on his cheeks as he spoke again.

"R-Right... Um... Can I ask you something, princess?,"Odyn asked.

Weiss turned her head to look at him and smiled.

"Sure."She replied. "What do youwant to ask me, Odyn?"

"Well... would you like to stay together when we grow up?"He asked.

Weiss smiled at him.

"Yeah! Of course I would.,"Weiss answered.

"Pinky promise?,"Odyn asked.

"Sure!" Weiss answered.

The two hold out their pinkie fingers and shake them, exchanging a promise.

"Where's this coming from, Odyn?"Weiss asked worried.

Odyn looked down and sighed as he then began to explain.

"Well... I've been hearing some rumors lately.,"He began.

"Rumors? About what?,"Weiss asked curious.

"My family and I.. may have to move soon.,"Odyn said.

Weiss's eyes widened.

"What, Why?!,"Weiss asked upset.

Odyn looked at his friend.

"Weiss... you may not realize it, but... I think your dad doesn't really like us for some reason.,"Odyn said. "I think he may secretly hate us, though.. I don't know what we did to make him hate us?"

"Odyn.. you're overthinking things. My father is just a little grumpy because things have been a little rough at work for him, he doesn't hate you.,"Weiss said.

"What if he does though?,"Odyn asked. "What would you do if he didn't allow you to see us anymore?"

Weiss became slightly angry at the thought.

"I'd tell him that he's wrong to hate you then! I don't care if he does hate you guys for some silly reason or not. You're MY friend Odyn, so it doesn't matter to me what he says or what his reasons are!"Weiss said.

Odyn smiled at his friend, causing her to grin happily as well.

"Thank you, princess. This makes things easier then.,"Odyn said.

Weiss looked at him curious.

"Odyn?,"Weiss asked causing the dark elf to look at her again.

"Yeah, what is it Weiss?,"He asked.

"I-If you do move... promise not to forget me?,"Weiss asked twiddling her thumbs.

Odyn nodded.

"It's a deal, princess. And.. I'll write to you as often as I can.,"Odyn told her.

Weiss smiled and then did something she never thought she would do at the time. Since Odyn was a little taller than she was, Weiss stood up onto her tip toes and closed her eyes as she placed a kiss on Odyn's cheek.

"Thank you... Odyn, my friend.... my prince..."Weiss thought with her eyes closed.

She slank back to her normal height and grinned at him, putting a finger over her mouth as if to say "This is our little secret". Odyn was blushing due to what Weiss just did, but quickly shook it off so as to not embarrass his friend. He figured that internally, she was just as embarrassed and surprised as he was so it was best not to do anything further. Both then heard the voices of Sarai and Khanna coming up behind them and decided to greet the two girls.

"Nii san! Weiss! There you are.,"Sarai said as she ran up and hugged Odyn.

The dark elf and the silver haired girl smiled at the younger dark elf as she greeted them. Odyn was seen patting the head of his younger sister as she hugged him.

"Were you looking for us sis?,"Odyn asked with a smile.

Sarai grinned and laughed.

"Uh huh! Nii san and Weiss just ran off.... We were looking all over for you.,"Sarai said a little sad.

Odyn patted Sarai's head and smiled at her with a softer expression.

"Sorry about that sis, I didn't mean to leave you alone like that.,"Odyn said.

Weiss's expression also softened at seing Sarai upset. She didn't mean to steal her brother like that. Weiss could see that the younger dark elven girl adored her elder brother and just wanted to spend time with him, not unlike how she wanted to spend time with Odyn herself. As Khanna and Winter came over to them, Odyn heard the voice of his mother calling for the trio of dark elven children.

"Odyn, Sarai, Khanna... It's time to go now.,"Hyatan called.

Khanna turned and called to reply.

"coming!"Khanna replied.

"Seems we have to go now, Weiss.,"Khanna said.

Weiss frowned at this.

"Oh.. Well, I guess this will be farewell for now huh?,"Weiss said slightly bummed out.

Khanna smiled at her friend.

"Not to worry, Weiss. I'm sure we'll see each other again. Come on, Sarai. Let's say bye to Weiss.,"Khanna said before looking to her younger cousin.

Sarai waved farewell to Weiss.

"Bye bye, Weiss! ,"Sarai said cheerfully.

Khanna led Sarai by the hand as they walked off. Odyn began to walk off before Weiss tugged on his shirt, causing the young dark elf to look back towards his friend.

"Weiss, I really do need to go now.,"Odyn said.

She looked down as her bangs covered her eyes in a slight shadow.

"I-I know that.. I'm scared, Odyn... What if I don't see you for a long time?,"Weiss said as her shoulders started to tremble. Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes. "W-What if.... I never see you again? I couldn't bear it if that happened.."

Odyn then hugged her, causing the young Schnee's eyes to widen in surprise.

"That won't happen, princess. We'll see each other again.. When that is exactly.. I don't know, but we will see each other again, you have my word on that!,"Odyn said as the two embraced.

"Promise?,"Weiss asked.

Odyn nodded.

"If that's what it takes for you to calm down, then yes. I promise we'll see each other again.,"Odyn answered.

The pair of childhood friends then separate as Odyn looks at Weiss in the eyes.

"I have to go now, until we meet again, princess.,"Odyn said waving and running off towards his parents.

Weiss smiled at waved back at him as she looked at her hand, still feeling the warmth from her childhood best friend in them. Winter looked at her sister with a sad smile.

"Miss him already, Weiss?,"Winter asked.

Weiss nodded.

"Y-Yeah.,"She answered quietly.

"Can't say I blame you.. You haven't seen him for a long time. That boy really is special too you, isn't he Weiss?,"Winter said.

"Of course he is. Odyn's my best friend after all.,"Weiss admitted proudly.

Winter laughed as she and Weiss headed back to the family home.

"Right, right.,"Winter laughed as the two walked back to the Schnee Family Manor.

Little did Weiss or any of the Schnee's know, that this little visit by the Albanar Family would be the last time for many long years that they would see Odyn. Because a tragedy would soon befall the Schnee family and cause a very unwelcome shift of power within. What would follow next would later be known as the tragedy of the Schnee's. What exactly happened to cause such a tragedy in such a well known and respected family? That is a story for next time...

Hey guys! I hope you all enjoyed this 1st chapter of the AU version of Flame and Crimson. I plan to make 2 other AU versions: One with Yang as the main girl, and one with Blake as the main love interest. The overall plots of the stories will be similar, just with some differences between them such as character pairings and events that take the dark elves that appear in this story will be the same.
