Intricacy

"So what's the deal with the Blue Moon City? You said that you have some guesses, care to tell us a little about it?" Tara asked while pondering the matter inside of her mind. She didn't even know that there was something that transpired inside Blue Moon City. Even Enjar indicated that he wanted to involve himself into the matter.

"It seems that a big figure is coming to that city. A figure that is big enough to influence the city lord's family into doing their best to appease them. Hmm… is 'appease' the right word to put it? But my guess is that, the city lord's son struck a disease that stops them from moving forward. And if they stop at this point, the city lord's rival will take their place. Probably Physician Emin did not want to disclose this information because it is an ignominy in itself especially for public opinions." Enjar explained

"Ummm… and that disease is?" Tara asked in amazement.

"It's regarding his manhood. Most likely." Enjar said confidently.

"Ohh…" Both women understood it tacitly. They nodded their heads in understanding the matter. In society, it was a pretty shameful thing for a man to be having a problem or two with his genitals. No, even women too have their own problems. And for men, it will decide their chance of having an offspring in continuing his family line, and that was one in itself a pride too. So choosing not to disclose this matter made sense to the two women.

"Hmm… But what's the deal? Firstly, a son from a city lord struck a unique disease, then now a big character is about to come and somehow the city lord got agitated? Like, how? I still don't quite understand.." Tara continued her questioning. Her brows knitted together as if she was trying so hard to make sense out of it. Enjar saw her expression and could not help but wanted to squeeze her cheeks.

It seemed that this kind of information was still not enough for her to warp up her mind to understand the link between them. Vebi too was still in contemplation after hearing his explanation, not understanding what was the meaning of the intricacy behind it.

"Well now, what if I told you that the supposed big character is a woman? A beautiful woman? Or nah, a woman who had a big, or at least, higher status than the city lord? Or maybe both? And what if the woman is still single? What do you think?" Enjar smiled and took a cup of tea to drink. He appeared nonchalant and easy going when one took a look at his action, but deep inside his eyes seriousness could clearly be seen.

"I see! Now it's all coming together!" Tara clapped her left hand palm with the underside of her right fist.

Vebi nodded her head, understanding the logic behind it. Gaining status was a big deal. With a higher status, the chance to achieve more opportunity to gain more wealth and the likes was naturally higher. With a higher status, one would be sought after and set as a role model. With status, came power. With power, came wealth. For men, wiith wealth, came women. It was easier for one to do the things that he or she wanted if one gained the status that became the requisite.

Enjar and his family lived inside a city called Spring Land City, while the Blue Moon City was a city that was pretty near from the Spring Land City. It was about 8 hours away by riding a carriage to reach each other.

Spring Land City and Blue Moon City was under the jurisdiction of Leisan Kingdom, which had the dukes, marques, earls, counts, viscounts, and barons inside of it. Spring Land City was governed by a city lord, which was under a baron called Baron Krain. A baron governed some cities under his jurisdiction, which went up to the top which were the royal families.

"Okay, now we have a lot of things to do." Enja grinned, putting the tea cup to a close.

"Hmm? What do you mean by that?" Vebi inquired while curiosity bloomed inside her heart.

"It's pretty complicated honestly. I have a pretty big deal coming up ahead of me, and I need some talents to handle some things for me. That's why I need to go asap." Enja stood up and prepared to leave the room.

"But you haven't taken any packed food yet, let me prepare something first before you go to some place." Continued Vebi with a tingle of worry inside of her tone.

'Talents? What does he mean by that? Why didn't he just say people?' A flash thought occurred inside the two women's minds, but it came as fast as it went off, just like when someone did not really mind when a person sometimes jumbled a word or two in its sentences.

"It's okay, I can get some food outside. I will come home approximately tonight after I finish my business. If you need something from me, just send a messenger to search for me in the City Lord's place." Enja continued to walk out in a slow but steady manner. He took his outer clothing inside the living room and proceeded to go out.

"Ah, okay… Take care! Make sure that you're really fine before you do something, okay?" Shouted Tara while following him till he was at the front door. It was as if she was forgetting something because of the things that have been happening now.

"Of course, sweety. How could I not when I have you waiting at home for me like this?" Enja turned to her while pecking a kiss to her forehead before walking out, leaving behind the flustered Tara in a mesmerized manner.

"Jeez… You smooth talker…" Tara murmured in a quiet voice.

Enjar did not use any carriage or horse when he went out. He just walked to his destination. And surprisingly, his destination was not the City Lord's place, but instead it was to the outskirt of the city.

The surroundings around Enja presented a condition which was similar to a medieval period. The road was not as smooth as asphalt, the walls of the buildings were rough and monotone in colour, the clothing of the ordinary people were simple yet modest. Enjar too was not an exception to this. But he did not really mind this kind of thing. There were more things that needed to be thought of instead of his own clothing.

"What a surprise, indeed. What a surprise. Who knew that there was a whole new world that resides beyond the boundary? Who knew that there was a big civilization that is in motion too? Who knew that there was a really big chance for me…. Nah, that's pretty arrogant… for ones who come to this world? Heh." A smile crept up upon his mouth. His gaze was sharp, his hands formed fists and his steps were firmer than before.

The sun was shining brightly, enforcing its might and warm to the world of its power. Enja gripped one of his bracelets that he had on his hands. "Now then, I still need some time to open up this bad boy. And that is the time when the real plan began to take place. It's still gonna be a while for me to execute it if I calculate it right, but it's not gonna be that long. Very soon, the world will move in a revolution, moving so fast that culture shock is gonna be a joke."

The smile was still on his face. If he was a cringy ass looking person, that would totally creep someone out. But looking at his clean and handsome face, it's hard to say. He was by no means the most handsome man that appeared once in a hundred years. But just from his fit and healthy body that he had, together with his unseen charisma, the aura that he showed was menacing and sturdy. Coupled with his handsome face, then what you got was someone like him.

"A man cannot do anything alone. A man is just a man, he could not be a god nor an omnipotent being. He doesn't even deserve to be arrogant. If the man planned to do something, he relied on the other men to accomplish his goal. His goal was just a goal that a humble human could have. His title of a king was just a call to unify his order and grasp. He doesn't deserve to treat the others lowly just because he had the highest title the humanity could give to a human. After all, he was just a human, no? With that being the case, let's teach the world some sense into it, shall we?" His right hand spread out, and bits of flame appeared. He crushed it strongly, and the burning flame flared up.

"Searing Spikes."
