Chapter 24: Rivals
Logan's wulvyn skull rang from the heavy punch thrown by another wulvyn fist, copper-furred knuckles were plated in thick brass. Logan staggered from the hit. His legs denied defeat. Holding tough, he ducked the second burly swing.
His wulvyn opponent snarled, then yelped the second Logan's red fist crashed under the wulvyn's chin, hurling the beast's whole head back. Any more force with that would've caused Bardolph Todrick's head to snap.
Wulvyn, in their human and natural forms, circled the two fighters going at it.
Logan snarled and rushed Bardolph. The copper wulvyn struggled to recover; he couldn't move. He was rapidly pummeled in the gut, ribs, chest, both sides of his thick jaws, then a stronger, heavier, meaner knee to the chin. Logan presented enough strength and equilibrium to retain Bardolph's head perched.
Just right for Logan's laced hands to crash into the beast's skull.
