Son and Mom

Ava left the train and walked towards the general exit. Passing a few waiting benches. She's thinking about her son, Dan. "I wonder what he's doing right now," she mumbled. She checked her phone while walking. To see if Cathy had texted her and she missed the notification. She hadn't. She kept walking until she sensed a very faint wavelength of mana behind her. She grinned. She turns around and sees Cathy.

"No one can sneak up on you, huh?"

"You could've killed your presence."

"I guess I could've."

Ava walks to Cathy and hugs her. Cathy hugs her back. "It's been a while, huh?" Ava said

"I guess it has."

"Why did you text me?"

"Your son fucked me. I'm pregnant."

"What...?"

"Kidding."

Ava raised her hand and slapped Cathy in the face, "Ow!" She exclaimed. "That wasn't funny."

"You've changed."

"So've you!"

"I didn't say it was a bad thing."

"Whatever, just answer my initial question."

"It's your ex. He's going to die."

"Okay... Why?"

"Shujin."

"Who?"

Cathy then told Ava everything she needed to know. Which was literally everything.

"Then why are we in Libra and not Bright?"

"Your son. I think he's looking for you."

In Yui's house

"WHAT!!?" Dan yelled in absolute disbelief. He started panting. Sweating. His heart rate sped up dramatically. He was panic-striken.

"Please tell me you're lying."

"I'm afraid not."

"Where's the proof?"

Yui hands Dan a thick dossier. Dan scrolls through it quickly. Images taken from several security cameras that dated back eighteen years ago. On one picture, there was his mom, Cathy, and Kai. The three of them standing in a circle, conversing it looks like.

"Looks like our teachers knew her since long ago."

"I need to ask her myself. I need to know. I can't... I-I..."

Dan continuously stumbled on his own words. His breathing was loud and fast.

Laura grabs his hand gently and smiled at him, "hey, it's okay." Dan looks at her and he slowly grab a hold of his breathing. Slowing it down. He was calming down.

"Since when were you two a thing?"

"W-We're not together!"

"Bullshit!"

"Heath, quiet down. Theo is sleeping."

"Oh, how is he?"

"He misses you."

"Who's Theo?"

"A kid Heath saved the other day."

"He's your son now?"

"No, he's more like a little brother."

To their convenience, they were interrupted. Yui's door was knocked. Yui came over and opened the door. Revealing someone she didn't expect to see. They had a quiet conversation together before coming in. Heath came over.

"Who's at the door, Yui?"

"Your teacher and your person of interest."

"They're here!?" Heath shrieked

Dan and Laura overheard and ran to the door. Dan was genuinely shocked to see his mom standing there.

"Now, Dan, before you start let's all come in and sit down first."

The six got comfortable. Sitting together in the living room. The room was silent. It wasn't anyone's turn to talk yet. Dan takes a deep breath, he filled his lungs with air. "What the fuck!?" He slurred

"Here he goes..."

"Please tell me it isn't true."

"Which part?"

"It says three perps to the destruction of Bright. Dark Kin, Manipulator, and Death Flower. Please tell me that isn't true."

"Okay, let me explain. Get comfortable, this might take awhile."
