Rough Winter

A new aura had formed in the atmosphere. The hairs on the back of Histoire's neck were receptive of the new change. She noticed that the normal tension in the air had subsided upon Jotham's arrival but something else had snuck in upon Keren's. And that was the feeling one would normally feel when they were homesick. Nostalgia, it took a few minutes for Histoire to come to that conclusion. Being in the presence of Keren and Jotham made her feel as though she were home; as though she had never left. Not her real home where she was brought a few days after she was born at a hospital, the home Jotham's parents created for her when she had nowhere else to go; when she was no longer needed.
