Her Decisions

"You want to throw your life away... so that you can join a secret organization whose operations you know nothing about?" Deus asked through the phone and Histoire felt compelled to pull the phone away from her ear. She pressed her palm against the receiver and turned to face the twins.

"I don't think he likes my idea," she muttered loud enough for them to hear. Tsuki, uncertain on what to think, turned to face Itsuki, who had his fist pressed against his chin as he was deep in thought. When Histoire first spoke to Deus that day, her words made perfect sense. Even the twins were convinced that trusting Ikari was not too bad of an idea. But the way Deus explained it on the phone after hearing her explanation made her realize how stupid the idea sounded.

"Tell him that the boss used to be your boyfriend," Itsuki said suddenly out of nowhere, causing Tsuki to choke on her and Histoire's eyes to widen in shock.
