Chapter 2

Two days passed in a blink of an eye and Aries is now in front of New Home Line Entertainment. She went to the front desk and asked, then she was guided to the waiting room then later she was called to the office.

"Hello, you are Ms.Ceretti, correct?." Assistant Coleen greeted.

"Yes". Ceretti replied.

"Good, My name is George Coleen I'm President Luis's assistant, I called you here to congratulate you. You are now hired to the company". Assistant Coleen says with a bright smile.

"Yes, thank you for giving me this opportunity, I will work hard to keep up with the company as soon as possible". Aries said with a calm expression and beautiful smile but inside she is struggling to hold herself to jump and say Yes! but of course, she wouldn't let it show outside.

"But that's not the only reason, because something urgent happens to the company that is why instead of putting you in Management Department or any other Department, we would like you to put in a more challenging position." Assistant Coleen said then waited for Aries reaction.

"Ms. Coleen I'm a competitive person even if it's challenging I will do it but I'm just a newcomer so wouldn't it be good if you give the position to someone more capable and experienced? ". Aries started giving her opinion at the same time.

"Yes, of course, we thought about that too. But we needed someone like you who is young, capable, and has a clean background as an agent of a Hollywood star. We checked your documents, though you are a newcomer you have a very good application and outstanding talent in sociability, and I can that you are a dedicated person which is rare for young people your age. The board already agreed to this. Of course, there are changes when it comes to salary but I promise you that you are not gonna lose here after all she is a star." Assistant Collen said.

"Thank you for high evaluation to me and generosity but I would like to ask one question. Is it ok for me to be a Hollywood star's manager as a newcomer? ". She said with a serious face but she just looks more beautiful so assistant Coleen patiently explain to her why.

"Well, that's the main reason why you are chosen to become her manager. Her previous manager is her relative but got busy with other things that she couldn't do her thing as a manager. So we needed someone new, we recommended a lot of people but she rejected it right away what she is looking for is someone young who can keep up with her and manage her schedules, someone who can understand her as a young star, she is just the same age as you so she felt like having a manager with the same age, gender with outstanding character and application would be better for her and she said to personally guide whoever it is. *sigh* seriously we've got a headache because of her demand and it just so happened that we receive your application and fitted it to her requirements. I hope you understand." Assistant Coleen explained patiently.

"She seems like a stubborn kid". Aries mumbled but Assistant Coleen still heard her.

"Hahaha, indeed she is stubborn. But she's a good girl overall that's why the company spend so much time to find a suitable manager based on her preference. So Ms.Ceretti would you accept? ". Assistant Coleen asked then she stretched her hand.

"Well, thank you for your trust. I will work hard, so please take care of me." Aries shakes hands with Assistant Coleen.

Assistant Coleen prepared the contract and talk a lot with Aries, since Coleen is also a friendly person they get along very quickly. Aries signed a contract wherein Aries can personally terminate it if she really can't do it and will be compensated because of sudden changes and being forced to become a manager.

Aries went home with the papers she needed to study and for tomorrow.

Early in the morning, Aries prepared herself including the new car that she bought for her new job although it wasn't as she expected but maybe being a manager won't be bad but since this is her first time so Aries's face shows no signs of emotions it's her reaction every time she's nervous.

"Aries don't be nervous, you'll be fine definitely". Anna knew it would be hard but she still motivates Aries.

"Although she's the same age as me she's a Hollywood star is," Aries says.

"Hahaha if you keep being nervous until you two met, she'll think that you are a cold-hearted person just because of your cold face right now, and just because she's a Hollywood star she is already amazing, remember this Aries if you two will be on the same stage anyone will think you're a superstar too I mean look at you *look up and down* white porcelain skin, long eyelashes, beautiful face, height, and sexy body plus your character you are perfect," Anna said while praising Aries.

"Geez~ hahaha, you are exaggerated again but thank you I feel good now. I love you, sis." She said while smiling like a flower blooming in the sunshine.

" *pout* I'm not exaggerating you know, don't look down on yourself." Anna retorted.

"I'm not looking down on myself 'cause I know I'm pretty *wink* anyway I have to go now sis see you later~ ." Aries happily said while walking out of the house.

Aries drove to Downtown Manhattan and found a coffee shop near Koneko Cat Cafe to wait.

Aries POV

I've been waiting here for almost half an hour my anxiousness went out already. I'm supposed to meet up with the previous manager but she's late, so irritating but I need more patience for work.

After a few minutes, while I'm thinking to leave someone knock on my table, I look at the person who knocks on my table with a cold face because of irritation.

She looks at me before she asks "Are you, Ms. Ceretti?."

"Yes, and you are?." I can't see her face because of the cup, sunglasses, and mask so I had no choice but to ask. Is she the previous manager?.

"Oh. My auntie the previous manager won't be able to come so she asked me to directly meet my new manager. And I suppose it's you?." She explained while she sit opposite me directly, and if I didn't hear it wrong she said "my manager" right? Oh! My! God! And here I thought she would be the manager turns out to be the star! I'm not ready! But I won't let it show to my face! so I reacted to her as if I expected it.

"I see. yes, it's me I'm Aries Ceretti, It's nice meeting you Ms. Inaudi. What would you like to drink?." I said casually although I already know what she likes, I still needed to ask her after all, it's rude not to ask.

"Ms. Ceretti doesn't know my preferences yet?" She asked plainly but I feel being mocked, damn! Of course, I know what you like! she's kinda irritating for some reason but I won't let it show to my face again!.

"It's rude for me not to ask what you like after all you may want to try new ones," I said as shortly as possible. I don't want to talk to her.

She removes her mask and sunglasses puts them aside then looks at me " Oh. I want black coffee." She said while staring at me. I ignore her then asked the waiter for two black coffee.
