LUCAS' POV.

We all shook hands, and Emily was introduced to Alpha Romeo and his family.

Emily stayed respectful, and polite, but I could see vividly that she still wasn't in her best of moods.

We all sat down, and they began to decide on the menu. I glanced at Emily who sunk into quietness, and gloom. Since we had returned from the hospital, she had been even more gloomy and suspicious.

No one needed to tell me that she was avoiding me. She was particularly careful about that. We almost never met each other in the hallways, and she never ate at the dining room.

Something was wrong with her, but I had no idea what.

A wide smile appeared on her face as Hamilton, the Alpha's son threw her a question.

"I'm from this pack." She replied, smiling.

"Oh, I thought you were married as a kind of alliance." He probed, and she shook her head slowly with a graceful smile.
