Before Sarah could receive a response, the ground beneath them began to shake violently. The entire house rattled, and an explosive sound reverberated through the air, originating from somewhere down the street. Their hearts pounded in their chests as fear and confusion consumed them.

Mark burst into the living room within moments, his face etched with worry and alarm. He looked at his family, searching their eyes for answers. "Are you both okay? What's happening?"

Just as the chaos unfolded around them, another message from the system appeared before their eyes.

The appearance of the status page only added to their confusion, but the urgency of their situation couldn't be ignored. The ground continued to tremble, accompanied by the cacophony of car crashes and distant explosions.

"Sarah, Emily, find any kind of weapon you can. We don't know what's happening, but we need to get out of the house before it collapses," Mark instructed, his voice filled with concern and determination.

Sarah sprang into action, her mind racing with thoughts of apocalyptic scenarios from anime and novels she had consumed over the years. She rushed upstairs, entering her bedroom with a sense of urgency. Quickly, she grabbed a backpack and stuffed it with essential items, including a change of clothes. Her eyes fell upon her bow and quiver in the corner of the room, and without hesitation, she secured them to her back. Remembering her brother's sword case under his bed, she retrieved it and held it tightly.

Descending the stairs hurriedly, Sarah returned to the living room where her family had gathered, prepared to face the unknown. The world outside remained chaotic, with each tremor and crash serving as a stark reminder of the dangers that awaited them.

As they gathered in the living room, Sarah's eyes widened at the sight of her father holding an assault rifle and carrying a backpack, clearly prepared for the unknown. On the other hand, her mother held a wooden staff fashioned from a detached broom handle and another backpack. Sarah couldn't help but notice that her mother had also armed herself with a few kitchen knives.

As they stood together, a peculiar heaviness filled the air, and they sensed a strange energy permeating their surroundings, akin to static electricity. Discomfort coursed through their bodies, more pronounced in Mark and Emily than in Sarah.

They were all presented with the same class options as Adam had encountered, leaving them perplexed and bewildered. "Mark, my love, is this some sort of strange government experiment? What on earth is happening?" Emily questioned her husband, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Mark shook his head, sharing in their confusion. "I honestly have no idea, dear. This is just as baffling to me. Sarah, any thoughts?"

Sarah pondered for a moment, her mind racing to make sense of the situation. "I'm not entirely sure either, but it seems like we're being given choices for basic Dungeons and Dragons classes, almost like a video game. I think I'm going to choose the hunter class."

Without hesitation, she made her decision and confirmed her choice.
