"What do you mean you don't like pizza with ketchup?" Asher asked me, furrowing his brows with a disappointed look on his face. It was nighttime so we ordered a pizza and now he's upset on the fact that I don't like pizza with ketchup.
"It's not like I hate it, I just prefer it without ketchup." I shrugged. Asher huffed before letting the matter go.
"To be honest, you're one sick motherfucker to actually love pizza with ketchup." I said.
Asher looked at me with a neutral expression before coughing all of a sudden.
"Are you okay?" I asked him, he shook his head violently before coughing more. I rushed over to the table to grab a water bottle and opened it before giving it to him. He stopped coughing before taking the bottle out of my hand.
"I am sick." He laughed.
This bitch.
"Fuck off." I said as I chucked a fry at him but he successfully caught it in his mouth. He blew me a kiss when he saw my angry expression which caused me to chuck a pillow at him but he also caught it.
I crossed my arms and looked away as he kept laughing. I felt a presence beside me on the carpet where I sat with my back against the sofa.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked. Was I mad at him? No. But do I like it when he acts all cute to make me forgive him? Fuck yeah.
"Yes."
He hummed in response before resting his head on my shoulder, his hair tickling my neck as he snuggled closer.
I think my heart just did a backflip.
A smile crawled up my face and I
reciprocated his gesture by resting my head on his head and linked our arms together.
"You don't seem so mad anymore." He commented, and I swear it was like I could hear his smile, I don't know if it's possible, but yeah.
"No one can stay mad at a guy like you for long." I said.
"What do you mean 'a guy like me'?" He mused.
"I mean an attention seeking whore like you."
"What if I'm suicidal?"
I laughed, snuggling closer to him and crossing our arms securely. He feels so comfortable, and I mean it when I say it, he's physically as well as a mentally comfortable person to spend time with. I always feel so safe around him, it's unhealthy.
He's a fucking teddy bear.
We stayed like that for a good few minutes, in each other's arms, just enjoying each other's company. I closed my eyes for a few seconds before I heard my phone ringing. I picked it up without looking at who's calling. It would be mom, of course, who else would call me?
"Gwe—" Her voice got cut off when Asher put the phone away from my ear and grabbed my arm tighter. I looked back at him to see him giving me the 'puppy eye' look.
"Stay."
I huffed before putting the phone to my ear again. "Yes, mom?"
"You coming home or what?"
"Actually, I was thinking I might stay at Asher's today." I said as I looked back at Asher to see him smiling at the ground, he looked up at me and I winked at him.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Give the phone to Asher for a minute, darling."
"Okay..." I trailed off before handing the phone over to Asher, who furrowed his brows at me in confusion but I just shrugged. He hesitated before taking the phone out of my hand.
"Hello, ma'am?" Asher greeted with a smile. He waited a few moments, listening to the other side before his smile dropped and he gulped.
I might just know that she's threatening him.
"Yeah, no worries, bestie. I'll take care of her." He said, his smile returning. He shoved the phone back to me and I took it, pressing it to my ear.
"I'm letting you stay there just because I trust Asher."
"Is that why you threatened him?"
"Oh come on, I'm your mother."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Okay, bye now. Use protection."
"Mom!"
I heard her laugh before she ended the call. I scoffed, still in shock that she said that to me. I never minded the things she said seeing I was now used to it. I put the phone back on the table.
"Just because you wanted me to stay." I smiled.
"Thanks, Munchkin."
"You're welcome, señorita."

Asher and I were watching a movie right now. 'Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone' to be exact. He told me that he had never watched Harry Potter so I insisted we watch it, and now we're having a marathon.
"We don't like this guy." I told Asher as Dumbledore came on screen.
"Why? He seems nice."
"I said we're hating on him, so we're hating on him." I said, not going much into detail why Dumblewhore is a bitch.
"Okay, lady." He raised his arms over his head in surrender. We watched the movie in silence before Asher spoke up again.
"Professor Snape seems kinda suspicious." Asher acknowledged as he watched the movie. "He's the bad guy, isn't he?"
"Shh, just keep watching." I shut him up and he nodded, focusing back to the movie playing in front of us.
"Holy shit, is that a three-headed dog? I'd love to pet it." He exclaimed and I laughed at his childish behaviour.
"And his name is Fluffy, can you believe it?" I asked Asher, playing along.
"I was just thinking about naming him that!" He exclaimed again.
The movie soon came to an end with Asher ranting about how much he liked Ron and his twin brothers because they were a mixture of his personality, and I couldn't agree more.
"What do you wanna do now?" Asher asked, his palm supporting his jaw as his elbow leaned on the sofa.
"Sleep?"
"Why are you so boring?"
"It's 12 p.m."
Asher sighed heavily in what seemed like disappointment and stood up in front of me.
"Let's go." He said, extending his hand out to me so I could take it.
"Where?"
"Do you trust me?"
"No."
"Fantastic, now let's go."
I sighed, looking at his hand and then back up at him. He raised his eyebrows as if to say, 'it won't cost you your life.'
I eventually gave in and took his hand and he smiled, pulling me up. He lead me straight out of the apartment door, locking it from outside.
"Are you taking me somewhere to murder me?"
"You're not that lucky, Munchkin."
He then lead me towards the elevator and pulled me in. My words melted in my mouth when he pressed the button to the top floor.
We got there after a few moments and he pulled me out of the elevator to the terrace.
I took my sweet time admiring the view in front of me. Thousands and millions of stars lit up the night sky. The sky looked like a black carpet with silver glitter scrambled all over it. It was an extremely beautiful view.
Also a nice place to smoke.
"Wow." was the only word I could muster out.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
"Really beautiful."
Asher walked towards the centre of the rooftop and sat down. "Come." He patted the space next to him, inviting me over. I sat beside him without any complications.
"I love stargazing. My mom and I used to do it a lot together. But since I grew up, mom stopped paying much attention to me, of course, I mean, I had evolved into a rare species called a teenager." he chuckled and got the same reaction from me, "so when I have free time, I usually just sit here, admiring these beautiful creations. Not so beautiful up close, they're just huge chunks of rocks that had been destroyed years ago. But when we see it from far, from here, all we see is pure beauty."
I just stared at him in astonishment. I've never seen- no, I've never heard him seem this much serious and enthusiastic about something. I like this guy. Of course I like the Asher who's always a cheerful and jolly person, who throws smiles at everyone who walks by him, but this Asher? The Asher who is enthusiastic about something as simple as stargazing and astronomy, the Asher who opens up to me.
I like this Asher.
The affection and calmness I felt in that moment lead to a reaction that even shocked me.
I grabbed his jaw, not turning his head to me but instead I leaned over him and pressed a kiss on his cheek.
His eyes widened at my reaction. I didn't have time to cry over and regret my quick decision so instead I just smiled at him.
His lips curled into a small smile as he leaned his cheek closer. "Do it again."
"No."
His smile fell off his face as he nodded and looked up back at the stars. I chuckled, pressing my lips to his cheek quickly yet again. I looked away before he could react.
He chuckled and his gaze dropped down before he looked beside him at me to see me look up at the stars, avoiding his stare, not even trying to hide my smile.
I sighed, reaching into my jean pocket and pulling out a pack of Marlboro Red. I pulled one cigarette out before I heard a sharp gasp from beside me.
"Smoking is a bad habit, young lady." He said, his face holding a scornful look.
"Like you're any better, I took this packet from your bag." I stated as a matter of fact.
"Fair enough, pass me one." He chuckled and I did as he told me to. I pulled out the lighter, sticking the cigarette between my lips securely.
I felt Asher leaning closer to me. He joined the end of our cigarettes, his cigarette also sticking between his lips.
Holy.
I stared at his eyes due to the close proximity of our position like this. His eyes stared back, and without breaking eye contact, he smoothly slipped the lighter out of my hand and brought it to the end of our cigarettes.
He lit up the lighter, the bright light of it making his green marble eyes glow like turquoise stones. He leaned back once the cigarettes were lit, still not breaking the intense eye contact.
I came back to my senses suddenly. Wait the fuck— did he just fucking distract me?
I looked away, sucking the hazardous smoke in my lungs before blowing it back out through my pink lips. I tore my gaze away from the stars to look back at Asher.
He sat with his legs spread out in front of him while his left hand was fixed on the ground behind him as he looked up, his cigarette tucked in between his index and middle finger as he brought it close to his mouth.
He wrapped his pink lips around the end of the cigarette, sucking the smoke in. He waited a few moments before drawing the smoke back out from his mouth, his lips puckering a bit as he did so. He closed his eyes, throwing his head back in a satisfactory sigh.
I crossed my legs.
What the fuck?
He didn't affect me, I just did it out of nowhere.
Sure?
I was just adjusting myself... Right?
Wrong.
Fuck.
