<p>The world of Alnemia was a normal world, it went thru all the typical ages of human advancement, stone-age, iron-age, gold-age...<br/>At the time technology was about to advance past getting to the moon and back, something strange happened.<br/>On the date of A.W.D. 513-7-2 in the order of Year-month-day, every living human alive gained a tattoo. This tattoo was in the shape of a feather, this tattoo manifested anywhere on the body. It took approximately 2 days after the manifestation of these strange tattoos for humans to somewhat figure out how it worked, when focus was put upon the tattoos it will glow in a dim light corresponding to the law of said person. Then a feather quill will manifest in the persons hand, they will be assigned a law and with it the basic knowledge on how to use this quill.<br/>The LAWs as it is called is the connection someone has to a specific law of nature, for example Red light would be fire, Brown-Earth, Blue-Water, Grey-Wind, Black-Darkness and White-Light. These are all the known laws, each law will correspond to the users psyche. Examples of this would be red-bravery/hot-headedness, Brown-caring/laziness, blue-calm/knowledgeable, grey-compulsive/prone to mood swings, black-anti-social/fearful and last but not least white-social/energetic.<br/>Upon the first manifestation of the feather quills the person who focused upon their tattoo will see the alphabet of a strange runic language for about 3 seconds, the quills can be used to write in the air using this strange runic language. You can only write three word at a time and when those words are complete you must draw a circle around it-for what was written to happen, but it must be told that if you are of the fire law and you write water, nothing will happen.<br/>If used in a correct way you can use a light quill to write HEAL-MINOR-WOUNDS and if the wound this was written for is indeed minor for example a 2cm laceration on the leg, it would heal in a couple of seconds and or milliseconds depending on level of experience and knowledge of anatomy. This time can also be shortened if the circle is perfect or near perfect.<br/>With this discovery humans where fast on the uptake as they realised that it could not only help but also lead to world ending disasters if not taken seriously, therefore they created new mandatory school lessons and schools that specialize in this field of study. They created 14 schools where those who want to specialize in writing could go.<br/>But in the year 527 it became clear that everything happens for a reason, animals started to mutate and become aggressive. Beasts once thought fantasy became a reality from spiders 3 feet tall, griffons and the occasional Cerberus a three headed dog that grows to 12 meters tall. Humans had to adapt and learn more about the power they where granted.<br/>The 14 schools had to change as well from teaching construction to teaching 7 ways to fool a troll. But that is not all, plants also mutated from roses to a beautiful bush that will lunge at you and siphon out all of your blood. There where also beneficial plants like a new type of plum that would grant the eater a stronger body with no exercise, an apple that would give you a longer life and Tabaco leaves that would make you calm and give you clarity in stressful situations.<br/>This story starts 7 years after the beast became feral, it follows one Louis Coldwater a 17 year old at that time. Let us follow his story of growth and discoveries, and learn what truly happened in the year 513.</p>
