"Understood, I'll handle all her matters,"

Just as Linda Linda finished speaking, Zhao Yi from the finance department came over with a plate and plopped down beside her, beginning to endlessly complain.

"Ah, it's easy for you, you don't have to deal with anything. Look at me, I'm totally exhausted."

"What have you been doing to be so tired? Aren't you a department head? You should just delegate the trivial tasks to your subordinates." Linda Linda turned to look at her.

"It's all because of the stocks of Gaofeng Technology. Since the boss agreed to continue developing the DNA project, Gaofeng Technology's falling stock price is bound to rise, so I moved all the liquid funds I could, even mortgaging company assets, to buy up Gaofeng Technology's stocks."

"Subordinates can't be trusted to do such things properly, so, of course, I have to be the one operating."

"Wow, then aren't you going to make a fortune?"

"Definitely, the company's entry into the stock market is surely based on inside information; it's a 100% chance to make money. When the time comes, Old Six's anchors will hype it up with Gaofeng Technology's publicity tools, drawing in the retail investors. It'll definitely rise higher than before the drop. I'm planning to cash out at the peak and let those retail investors take over."

"It might look simple, but it's a lot of work and very troublesome. I'm slaving away busy as a bee, and in the end, it's all for the boss's profit. Tell me, what am I doing this for?"

"If it wasn't for the sake of those men who can make me happy, I really wouldn't want to do this."

Zhao Yi kept pouring out her complaints to Linda Linda, oblivious to Xiao Ting's increasingly sour expression nearby.

"What did you say?! The drop in Gaofeng Technology's stock was caused by Sun Jack too?" Xiao Ting's voice suddenly increased by two decibels.

Once she received a definitive answer, Xiao Ting clenched the fork in her hand and began to furiously jab at the pizza on her plate, wishing she could tear Sun Jack to pieces.

"Sun Jack! You bastard! You won't die a good death!!"

"Why are you speaking about my boss like that?" AA, who was eating not too far away, couldn't take it any longer and stood up, staring angrily at Xiao Ting.

"I said Sun Jack is a bastard! What's it to you?" Xiao Ting defiantly stood up as well.

As the situation escalated, it was still the Sun Jack clones having lunch there who stepped in, and the AAs finally went back to their meals.

As they ate, the AAs continued to grumble and complain to the clones about Xiao Ting.

Watching the Sun Jack clones around her, Xiao Ting prudently closed her mouth, realizing that nowhere in the company was safe.

From now on, it seemed she could only discuss certain matters privately with someone like Linda Linda, who was on the same wavelength.

"Who is this woman?"

"AA, from the logistics department; if you need anything related to equipment, you can talk to them. They're very skilled."

Xiao Ting also noticed a tall priest casting a hostile glance at her; sitting beside him was a young girl with a refined look.

"And that table over there?"

"People from Liberation Theology. The priest is just called Priest, and the female is called Matrix."

"Sun Jack actually let people from Liberation Theology into the company? Doesn't he know they're anti-corporation?"

"You're in the dark, aren't you? Sun Jack used to be the leader of the Rat Alliance."

"What? The Rat Alliance Battle Line?!" Xiao Ting abruptly raised her head, looking at Linda Linda in shock, seeking confirmation if the information was indeed true. However, she forcibly held back.

Still, her reaction didn't escape Linda Linda's notice, "What? You've come into contact with the Rat Alliance Battle Line in the past?"

"Contact?! How could I? Those guys are complete idiots! They know they're going to die, yet they still go through with it! A bunch of idiots!!" Xiao Ting visibly became agitated.

Linda Linda nodded, lowered her head to spear a mini sandwich with her fork, and stuffed it into her mouth, continuing to have lunch with her companion.

Xiao Ting continued eating, but after a few bites, she looked up again sharply at Linda Linda with a determined attitude, saying, "That's impossible; I've inspected his memories before, there's no such memory in them! You've been deceived by him."

"Is that so? However, he seemed to have mentioned that his suggestions had been deleted. He had to put in quite an effort to retrieve his own memories," Linda Linda replied.

"That's him deceiving you! There are hardly any truths in what that guy says!" Xiao Ting said very assertively.

"I see, Sun Jack really is disgusting! SB boss, to think he would deceive me about such things."

As Linda Linda spoke, she sent a message to Tapai. "She seems to have had contact with the Rat Alliance Battle Line in the past."

Within two seconds, she received a message from Tapai, "Jack just confirmed that there is no record of her within the Rat Alliance Battle Line, it must have been an indirect contact. See if you can find out more details."

"Roger that."

Linda Linda didn't immediately continue asking; asking too directly now wouldn't get her an answer and would likely expose her. She needed to find a way to inquire indirectly.

Then she started introducing Xiao Ting to other departments and heads of Utopia Security. With Linda Linda's help, Xiao Ting gained a certain understanding of the entire company, planning to sort things out after returning to see whom she might be able to use.

As their conversation continued, lunch was also drawing to a close.

Zhao Yi, having finished the last bite of her meal, coquettishly clung to Linda Linda and said, "Linda~ come on, how about coming to my place tonight? I miss you."

"Your place is already packed with people, why would you need me too?"

"It's not the same, being with you just feels so comfortable." Saying so, she stuck her tongue into Linda Linda's mouth, hooking the chewed food from the latter's mouth into her own and swallowing it down.

After the latter's persistence, Linda Linda eventually agreed.

"That settles it then! We'll stick together in the mucus pool tonight!!" Zhao Yi swept her hand across Linda Linda's chest happily before turning to leave.

"Is she your partner?" Xiao Ting couldn't help asking.

"No, just a friend."

"Then why..."

"It's sort of a social etiquette we use to maintain our friendship. Besides, she does look really tired, and I want to let her relax properly," Linda Linda explained, then turned to Xiao Ting, "How about you?"

After some thought, Xiao Ting shook her head, "I'm not really interested in your type."

Hearing that, Linda Linda had a flash of insight, "Does this woman have a partner in the Rat Alliance Battle Line?"

With that thought, Linda Linda continued the conversation, "Have you ever had a partner before?"

"What do you want with that information?"

"Well, it's gossip about a new friend, of course; I'm curious. How about I go first? I've had 12 partners, both men and women, and have even been someone's O twice. Now it's your turn."

Xiao Ting didn't really want to talk about it, but unable to resist Linda Linda's persuasion and considering it wasn't a big deal, she opened up, "Most of mine have been online relationships, I'm not really good at interacting with people offline."

"Is that so? That's really interesting. I've never had an online relationship. Have you had any interesting online partners?" Linda Linda continued to dig deeper.

Xiao Ting didn't want to continue talking and kept her head down to eat the last few bites on her plate.

Just when Linda Linda thought she wouldn't get anything out of it, she saw Xiao Ting suddenly speak up.

"Most of the time it was just for fun, but there was one time I got more involved. She had a great personality, I heard she was with the Rat Alliance Battle Line too, she's probably dead by now, so telling you doesn't matter," she said with an awkward laugh.

"What was her name?"

"Hilda."
