Reveal! (Part 2)

Arshad noticed the change in Tara's face, her eyes widening and narrowing slowly.

It was then he reacted, when Deep questioned something! What if the mysterious enemy was targetting Aryan and not Tara?

The thought made him dig deeper and deeper into his profile, investigating about the every fibre of his being, now he knew, why had his surname sound so familiar back then!

But he still couldn't understand why did Aryan choose to stay in an orphanage!

The lady woman there clearly stated that Aryan denied to go with them, but why?

He had a life of a prince to lead but....he chose to live in an another way.

Arshad smiled inward, even then, the man had a successful life to lead, the one which he created on his own!

Knowing Tara and Aryan were family related, he only guessed their problem was as well related.

**********

Tara just remained silent, everything she heard echoing repeatedly.

Was she hallucinating?

'I realised that.....we, our relation, is close! More than what we thought!!'

'Unbelievable....for both of us!!'

'You both share a relation, relation of family and blood!!'

Everything felt blank for her.

Now remembering the moment when she showed the family album to Aryan that day, she now knew, that boy who stood beside her grandma, it was Aryan's father!

Everything was connected, she was connected, and she didn't know it!!

What a fate!

Within a moment, everything that happened between her and Aryan flashed before her while her memories with her parents also embraced her.

And the entire time her gaze was holding him who had returned her stare!

Realising he now knew the fact, considering the vision he had!

Tara wondered, how was he feeling? Was he....

As if reading her mind, and her thoughts an open secret, Aryan gave her a slight assuring nod, as if giving her support to digest the newly-found fact!

And she could see, he was trying to digest it as well, but was just trying to hide his feelings perhaps, his eyes said it all!

"We....indeed were close!" few words slowly escaped her while her gaze remained on him!

"Closer than we thought!!"

They just stared each other in silence which Arshad broke after a moment of time.

"Considering the situation of you both, I think it's time for a family reunion!!"

They both looked at the man, going through the same feeling!

Their grandparents.

How many years had gone by, and they didn't even meet them once!

Tara barely remembered them, and that least was all out of those albums she had!

While for Aryan, the sudden proposal of the meeting blossomed his distant memories!

Both of them felt nostalgic yet worried, what else was there to know?

"You both come from the same family and suffer similar problems!"

Arshad sighed, "I wish for you to dig deeper into this problem, only so you could get rid of it!!"

"Completely!!"

Tara's gazed lingered on Aryan until what her uncle just had said dawned on her, similar problems?

Her stare soon settled on the man, for a brief moment, as she kept looking between him and Aryan!

So, her uncle knew about Aryan? His.... ability?

How? When?

Aryan gave her a nod again, confirming her!

"I thought it was better to let him know!" Aryan explained.

Tara just kept staring, unable to digest whole of things, all at once! And she still had a thought which almost threatened her to become a fact!

Her and Aryan being related, and her uncle already having the acknowledgement of Aryan's ability!

With a sigh, she leaned forward, "It really is unbelievable!" her fingers entwined.

And soon her uncle's words dawned on her, solution!

"We should consider the thought!" Aryan suggested!

Tara gave a nod, looking down, "I'll..."

"I'll have to reach them out!" her voice strained.

Arshad just watched his niece being lost, understanding the moment, and again, a sigh escaped him!

"I don't only mean your abilities by problem, I also mean.....the problem you're facing now! There is a possibility!!"

Tara and Aryan gave an understandably accepting nod, there indeed was a possibility!

When nothing was sure, everything was possible!!

Tara took in a deep breath, her gaze settling straight on her uncle.

"I....have something to ask! Something....which is beginning to....bother me!!"

Arshad looked at her with his now narrowed eyes, unsure where was she heading to by that, and all he could do was giving a slight nod of allowance.

Both the men had their eyes fixed on her as she continued after a brief struggle of what seemed like hesitation or....self-doubt?!

"Why couldn't I...." her voice heavy with pain, "My parents...why didn't you....let me meet them for the last time?!" her eyes closed as she asked, trying not to remember her past though that is what she was doing!

Arshad was taken aback by that, her question bringing back the memories of tragedy he buried deep within the layers of himself!

That day, when his younger brother, Adarsh and his wife, headed to meet Aryan's father!

And they never returned!!

His eyes shut as well, as if trying to hide his pain!

He wanted to know what had happened that made his brother decide to meet his wife's brother, and the accident didn't help! He decided to meet Aryan's father but, knowing his family died in accident, didn't help as well!

No wonder he never doubted of Aryan's identity!!

"Why do you ....wish to know it now?" Arshad asked, slowly opening his eyes, hardly trying to suppress his pain!

"Don't you think I'm old enough now to know?" Tara had her eyes open as she questioned, giving him a glance which he would never forget.

"Please, let me know!" a plea followed then.

Arshad looked away, and after a moment of silence, he spoke up, still looking away, his gaze settling on the floor. "We never recieved their bodies!!" his jaw clenched as he let it out.

Was that.....the reason?

"Their car...."

"I know!!" she cut him off, she saw it! Their car falling off the cliff, drowning in the water, deeper and deeper! Her very first vision!!

How could she forget it, when it even had chased her in the nightmares?!

"So....they were....never found!!" she asked looking down the floor, throwing her uncle into a deep silence!

"They were ....never found!!" she repeated, making him look back at her while her gaze remained down!

Aryan stared her in silence, her words echoing!

Tara took a sharp breath, looking up at her uncle, a faint smile covering her lips, "Thanks for..... letting me know!"

"We will return to Mumbai, with you!"

Arshad took a second, his gaze searching something specific in hers', before he gave out a slight nod!

"You travelled long Mr.Nethin, I wish you to take some rest first!!" Aryan suggested.

Arshad again gave a nod in silence, and just raised from his seat, heading for the room Aryan had showed him, not even bothering to give her a glance!

When Aryan returned, Tara wasn't seated in the living room anymore, as he then kept searching for her, he found her standing in the first floor's balcony.

Aryan didn't reach her, but kept looking at her from far, which she seemed to notice though she wasn't facing him, as usual!

"I wonder what's on your mind, Tara!"

"I seem to have foolish thoughts lingering inside, Aryan!"

"Very foolish.....and unbelievable!!"

"Don't tell me it is what I am thinking!!" he almost warned as he now watched her turn back, staring him, but her gaze wavering, going into distance almost immediately!

Tara who stood still, recalled her vision, which still seemingly confused her! The one where she saw her parents, her mother standing near the window with her cloth tied to her eyes, and her father sitting on the couch, in that dark room, both seemingly being lost in thoughts.

'Do not worry! I trust her!!' her mother said to her father, which made him look at her and that's it, she knew nothing more, she saw nothing more!!

Tara thought she was hallucinating or having illusions for a moment, but two things denied her thought!

Her parents were much older in her vision, older than she remembered them to be the last time she saw them, and she never saw the never happened past, till now! It was only the future!

And her parents....they were never found!

So....

Tara shook her head, tears threatening her eyes, what was she even thinking!

If....if they were..... really still alive....why wouldn't they come back? Why would they choose to stay away!

It had to be her illusion!! It....had to be!!

Despite the resistance, tears made their way down her cheeks.

Aryan kept watching her in silence, reaching her, he slowly took her into his embrace!

"It's okay!!" he said calmly as his hand kept stroking her back, relaxing her!

Tara shook her head, more tears falling down, "Hope is..... dangerous!!"

"More.... fearful than the truth!!"

"Atlast....truth is what ought to be accepted Tara!!"

Tara just felt even more numb now, remaining still in his embrace, she shut her eyes feeling the calmative movements of his hand on her back, easing her mixed emotions.
