Chapter 4: Mash

"Huh, this is advanced, isn't it Tom?" He asked as he clicked on the advanced screen type of device as he ordered some Fried Chicken with Tom nodding along as he ordered Fried Fish, the two of them sitting on the counter as the Chaldea Staff looked increasingly confused seeing a man and a cat eating there.

"When did we have a Cat? Also, isn't that cat like too big?" One of the staff asked another confused as the other staff shrugged "It is what it is, that's the 47th Master Candidate, it's probably his pet or something, ignore it" The staff said as the others seemed to find that reason good enough and just went about their work.

[ No, what?! Huh?! That's it?! They're just ignoring the Goddamn Humanoid Cat sitting and eating Fried Fish with utensils?!] Aion basically screamed as Zeteo and Tom looked confused.

"And? What's wrong with Tom eating? Are you discriminating against Animals?" He asked confused as Tom nodded along with Zeteo as Aion seemed to be speechless.

[ You know what, I'mma just leave it] Aion said resigned as Tom and Zeteo looked at each other in confusion then shrugged as they continued to eat.

"....Fou?! Fou!!!" A white dog or cat like feline made a confused sound as it looked at Zeteo and Tom who were eating.

"Yeah, We're new here." Zeteo nodded to Fou as they ate "Meow" Tom also replied as he nodded "Indeed, you look like you could use some food. Want some chicken?" He nodded along with Tom as he gave Fou a Chicken Leg.

"Fou? Fou!" Fou replied as Zeteo nodded "Yeah, of course it's for you." He replied as Fou happily ate the Chicken after jumping onto the counter.

"Fou!"

"Meow!"

"More Chicken and Fish? Sure" He nodded as he ordered.

[ How are you even understanding Them?! Huh?! ] You could literally feel Aion ripping his hair off.

"Fou! There you are!" a young woman with short lilac hair and lavender eyes and a fairly athletic build with a good figure wearing glasses with a grey hoodie over her black shirt and skirt said as she approached them.

"Ah?" She made a confused sound on seeing a young teenager, a large blue cat and Fou eating Fried Chicken and Fish as if it was totally normal.

"Fou! Fouu!" Fou made a happy noise as it gestured to the girl.

"Oh? You're Fou's friend?" Zeteo smiled at her as Tom continued to eat Fish, he was gobbling up the food so fast that the amount of plates stacked above were nearly 20.

"Huh? Is that a Cat?" She asked confused as she'd only seen images before as Zeteo nodded "Yeah, Tom here is my trusty partner." He replied as he patted Tom's head "Say Hi, Tom." He said as Tom stopped eating, looked at her, waved, then continued to eat.

"Wow!" She said amazed then snapped out of it as she looked at him "Ah, I'm Mash Kyrielight. I apologize if Fou disturbed you." she introduced herself and bowed to him.

"The name's Zeteo" He also introduced himself with a smile "Fou here didn't didn't me, in fact, Fou was quite polite" he said as he ruffled Fou's fur.

"...Fou must really like you, he doesn't usually interact with most of the people here except me." she said as she watched him play with Fou who made a satisfied sound.

"Fou! Fou!" It replied with obvious disdain on it's face.

"Hey, it's impolite to call others two legged monkeys." He chided as Mash nodded "It's really rude."

"You should call them Inferior apes, Apes are scientifically closer to humans" he corrected Fou who looked as if he'd been taught a profound lesson while Mash looked confused.

"It's rude to call others name's behind their backs, I recommend calling them name's directly." He said to Mash who looked as if her CPU was on overdrive.

[ Don't teach the girl unnecessary things! You bastard! ] Aion screeched in his head as he ignored it.

"Don't mind my nonsense" he smiled at her "Say, you're a Master Candidate too?" He asked her as she nodded.

"Yes, I'm A Master Candidate" She confirmed as he looked at her with a smile "Ah, then can you tell me about how we're supposed to train? I only heard part of it from Dr.Roman" He admitted with a grin as Tom also looked excited.

"Ah, there's a Simulated Battlefield where we can do trial Rayshift battles" She explained as he patted Tom who walked behind them unsteadily with a bloated belly while Fou jumped onto his shoulder.

"Oh, It sounds cool. So, what do we do?" He asked curiously as he fell into step beside her with a smile. "Um, So, There are Servant Data in the Database of Chaldea, we use the data to emulate Shadow Servants, Servants with only basic attributes and no Noble Phantasm. The Master Candidates have an battle royale to improve their skills" She explained.

"It sounds cool." He said as he, Tom and Fou followed Mash to the area where The Training Room was.

"It can be quite dangerous Senior Zeteo, you need to be careful when training." She said concern evident as he froze "Uh, did you just call me Senior?" He asked as she looked confused and concerned "Um, should I not?" She asked

"No, no, no. Call me Senior Zeteo." He said quickly as he tried to calm his racing heart with a smile

"Hm, I'll call you Junior then." He smiled at her "It's nice to be your friend, Junior Mash." He said with a smile as she slightly blushed.

"My Father Senses are tingling! Someone's trying to take my precious Mash! No! I won't allow it!"

"GET BACK HERE AND WORK, ROMANI ARCHAMAN!"

"I'm Sorry Alice! Please let go of my ear!"

"Huh?" Zeteo suddenly looked around in confusion "What happened Senior?"

"Nothing" he shook his head "I just felt like someone was talking about me." He said as he followed Mash.
