Not going anywhere

Adriana saw him walk towards her and she had to take a step back starting to get wary of what he had earlier said. He wasn't serious, was he?

Taking a deep breath in and out, Adriana watched him lean over towards her and his breath fell on her ear. " Stay out here till I'm back, make sure no one steals my motorbike" Saying this he straightened himself up and without giving her another look Adriana watched him leave.

He fu****** left!!

Adriana was left flabbergasted as he had made it seem like he was seducing her only to be told to stay in the parking lot and look after his motorcycle. That crazy bastard!! Adriana cursed at him inwardly as there were too many people passing by right now for them not to think she was crazy.

She removed the helmet on her head as she angrily glared in the direction Chris headed to. No way, she won't be made to do such a pathetic task!

"Go to hell" Adriana cursed, throwing the helmet on her hand away with force to have the poor thing break but she didn't care as she took her turn and walked out of there.

She took a cab back to Mrs Taylor's house and once she had got in and met the woman, her lips twitched in disdain. "I didn't know you wanted to have me work for you just so you could torture me," Adriana told the woman whose brows slightly narrowed as she had been met with an angry-looking Adriana.

"Adriana? Why are you here? Where is Chris" the woman asked, looking over Adriana's shoulders to see if he would walk in but there were no traces of him. She had a slight frown on her forehead.

"He's busy fooling around in a motel," Adriana said with an uncaring tone but that only made the frown on the woman's forehead deepen. She knew it!! her son continued to disregard her words and just did what he wanted.

"Did you see who he went to meet?" the woman asked with a doubtful tone. It might not be what she was thinking it to be.

"Mrs Taylor, did you know your son went ahead and kept me outside the school to stand and watch guard of his motorbike? Who the hell does that!!" Adriana said going ahead to ignore the woman's question as she was still furious.

Mrs Taylor only sighed. It didn't surprise her that he would do such a thing. "He did that?" Mrs Taylor asked with a disbelieving tone making it seem like she didn't know what and what her son was capable of doing.

"If this is the kind of treatment I would get while working for your son then I quit!!" Adriana said with an irritated tone. It was better to die of hunger than work for that screw-headed jerk.

Mrs Taylor's eyes widened a bit as she had not expected such quick resignation on her first day. But what had she expected? She should have known Chris would try to frustrate her until she quit, which he had successfully done.

"I am sorry for what my son did. I deeply am but you shouldn't have to quit because of that" Mrs Taylor coaxed her but it seemed to have gone to the wrong ears.

"Keep your sorry to your son. I am leaving!" Adriana said coldly as she turned around about to leave when she saw the door to the entrance open and Chris walked in.

Adriana's eyes widened instantly wondering how he got here this fast not knowing that it was when she had decided to break his helmet and leave that he had followed right after her.

The audacity she had!!

She decided to ignore him as she made to leave but Chris was too quick to stop her as she hadn't even lifted a leg. "Just where do you think you are going" he questioned her and his voice alone sent shivers down her spine.

She glared at him not wanting to get intimidated by the unnerving way he had just spoken now. She didn't know why she had to listen to him as she was no longer working for him to have her ignore his word as she started walking ready to leave as fast as she could but before she could pass by him, he was quick to grab her arm.

"What do you think you are doing? Leave me" Adriana said with a pissed off tone. This guy was keen on frustrating her life. "Did you think you could spoil my motorcycle and get away with it?" Came his question to her and that was when she remembered throwing his helmet on the floor and the way it had broken in front of her. She only spoiled his helmet, not his motorbike!

"It was just a stupid helmet," Adriana said, not in the least remorseful way and she saw the corner of his lips pull up. "How daunting! Considering how you will need to compensate for the helmet and ps: I don't take money" Chris said to have Adriana roll her eyes.

"Chris leave her alone" sighed Mrs Taylor who was tired of scolding her son who seemed to not do only his wishes.

"Stay out of this Mother. She has to answer to me who permitted her to leave when I had precisely asked her to watch over my bike "Chris said while his eyes did not leave Adriana's.

"I can do what I want and besides, it wasn't you who employed me" Adriana replied to him and she saw his lips twitch.

"And whom are you working for?" Questioned Chris with a slight glare but the glare was enough to send anyone into a coma. She had never come to understand the phrase 'if looks could kill' until today.

"If you were here earlier you would have heard me quit so leave me alone," Adriana said while her voice cracked a little. It was hard not to, with the way he was intimidating her with his stares.

She saw him finally let go of her arm to make her think he would finally leave her alone, not until he said, "If I am not mistaken, my mother gave you an advance payment didn't she? What makes you think you can quit after collecting her money"

Mrs Taylor gave her son a look wondering how he knew. But of course, she seemed to have forgotten the type of son she had for her to think he wouldn't find out about it before she had even told him.

Adriana gritted her teeth in frustration. This guy was frustrating her!! "You have no say in this, it is Mrs. Taylor who gave me the work and she is the one to decide if I get to quit or not"

"Again I ask, whom are you working for?" His tone was serious with a very menacing charm in there and she found it hard to answer his question.

"Go on, don't be shy.. tell us about it" came his encouraging words to her and Adriana had to gulp to get her voice back. "I don't work for you anymore" she softly said even though she might have known she won't get out of this.

It seems like she would have to bear working for him for a month but that was even if she had not gotten her body back. Before then, she would have found a way out of this body so let's just say she would deal with working for him for a while and it was good that he was going to her school.

That would give her the leverage to have the chance to confront Vanessa and get her to talk.

"I'll come to work tomorrow but…." Adriana said finally giving up the fight as she already knew the word 'Advance payment' had already forfeited anything else she would have to say knowing how she had spent half of the payment they gave her.

"You won't keep me outside to stand and watch over some stupid bike in the sun" Adriana completed her words and she saw the sly smile that appeared on his face.

"If I am in a good mood, sure"
